Recently purchased. From the photos I have taken, I can honestly say this is my best lens. The image is sharp where it is meant to be sharp and the bokeh is awesome.

Crazy good portrait lens on the Nikon D800.

This lens is the 3rd new buy in 2 weeks. I bought it for portrait work primarily. I can attest to its brilliant sharp focus on the subject with bokeh falling straight away if that is what you want. Sturdy build. Easy to work with. Totally recommend.

Crazy sharp for $400 for the prime you cant go wrong. I wish Nikon had other lenses as sharp as this one in other categories.

Great glass, the mount is expected Nikon quality metal, but the barrel is plastic and I am concerned about durability. We will see...
