Quiet fan. Bought to replace my 3d printer power supply fan. Had to install on the outside of the power supply though.

This thing is shockingly quiet

I have found that the Noctua fans are very quiet while running.

I installed two of these in my security camera system NVR from Q-See. One was a replacement for the power supply 12V fan where the original was so loud and high pitched it drove me nuts. The second was for inside the case of the same unit where this Noctua runs at 5V. I was worried about it starting up with just 5V, but it works every time. The power supply fan I had to mount on the outside of the power supply but still inside the case because it would not fit inside the power supply. I probably voided my power supply warranty but I really liked the unit and Ill take the gamble that I wont be an issue for the power supply. I kept the old fans so I could change it back if I had a warranty situation.

These are great fans. I have several devices all cooled by fans so the combined noise was significant. I swapped out several fans with Noctua fans and the noise level is much less. I like the rubber mounts and options for wire connectors.
