> 3 dayCant tell its running without looking, and its cooling as well if not better than the old ones. They look strange with the brown of course but you know youre getting quality with this company. Would have loved if they had these available in grey like the others, but probably not enough market who knows. Used them to cool a PC power supply that was modified (by removing the old fan) to fit in a slim Powermac G5 power supply housing.

> 3 dayAh, the almost impossible task of finding a liveable 60mm fan. Some are server grade and sound like it, while others like this one provide a good compromise between heat dissipation and db levels.

Greater than one week80% of the CFM air of the original fan in my Meanwell SE-600 power supply, but rather than sounding like a jet engine, it now sounds like a breeze. The original fan was 44db, this is around 23db but once the enclosure is closed, you have to get within 3 inches to hear it at all.

> 3 dayOrdered to replace a hydro-bearing ADDA 60mm fan which was noisy after 4 years on my Thecus N2200 NAS. This fan is superb.

> 3 dayAnd thats exactly what this little 60mm 12-volt beast is doing. Its noticeably quieter, but wouldnt say whisper quiet. Decibels dropped by -12db. However, I set the fan at the medium setting, which I believe the fan is rotating at 2400 rpms. Ill lower the fan speed later on but so far the case Ive placed it in is rather cool to the touch. I dont have a temperature guage to be exact to compare from before though, but it was slightly warmer with the stock fan. The stock fan of this thunderbolt 2 enclosure definitely was loud. Comparing the Noctua to the stock fan, definitely a big difference. The stock fan only had 1 setting, high. It was noticeably louder than my iMac, which is 90% of the time quiet. Only gets loud when I have the screen and 2 other 27 monitors on with multiple applications running. Even then, the stock fan of the Thunderbolt 2 was noticeable. Happy with the purchase, pretty snug for my enclosure, cables included way too long for me, but someone with a PC or other setting where long wires are required, definitely will not be disappointed.
