> 3 dayNice and quiet, but slightly louder than some equal air flow volume 80mm fans I bought from an electronics distributor nearly a decade ago. The geometry of the blades is nearly identical, but the older ones dont have the back side ridges. The body on the older fans is also smoother with gentle curves in the area of air flow and doesnt have the turbulators and stepped ridges the Noctua fan body has.

Greater than one weekI used this fan to replace a noisy fan in my AVR. The old fan was pretty loud. The difference with this one is like night and day. It also has 2 adapters that reduce the fan speed to make it even quieter if needed.

Inner Surface Microstructures
With the tips of the fan blades ploughing through the boundary layer created by the Inner Surface Microstructures, flow separation from the suction side of the blades is significantly suppressed, which results in reduced blade passing noise and improved airflow and pressure efficiency.
