Noctua NF-A8 FLX, Premium Quiet Fan, 3-Pin (80mm, Brown)

I purchased the Noctua NF-A8 FLX 80mm fans to replace the stock fans in my Synology NAS box in order to achieve higher air-flow and quieter cooling for the always-on NAS box. I am a veteran computer builder and technophile, however this was my first experience with the Noctua fans. I was extremely impressed right out of the box.

Noctua produces quality fans. For most users go with the cheaper fans; they will usually work. From what I have noticed Noctua is more expensive because of their quality. Of course that is only my opinion.

This is without a doubt, the quietest fan I have EVER used! Ive been buying fans for 20 years and this is the BEST. I had a fan go out in my stereo cabinet. Its always on, and its in my living room. I hooked this one up and I had to double check that it was running it was so quiet. Not only that, I opened the cabinet to shut the stereo off and the air in the cabinet was COLD! This thing moves a lot of air...
