This is a good quiet fan, but it is secondary in my set up. It just doesnt have the intake as compared to some of the other fans by the same company. DO NOT USE THIS AS A PRIMARY FAN. Use the Noctua level thats just above it as needed.

I recently bought one of those silent fanless PCs, it is impressive in day-to-day use but thrashing the CPU (building Qt from source, video transcoding) causes thermal throttling at very high temperatures. I bought one of these posh fans to blow (or rather suck) air over the CPU, so I mounted it on the side panel of my PC case. The colour scheme certainly clashes with a black PC but I reckon Ill learn to like it, and thankfully it does not include LED lighting.

I got them largely off of LinusTechTips love affair with them. But they are as quiet as advertised and raved about. Thats the biggest difference. I run my PC sometimes with my case side panel open. And the included 120mm fans from Fractal Design were very loud on my old build. Whereas now I cant say I really notice the noise even though the case is sitting not two feet from me on the desk.

Legitimately good product. Lots of cables and adapters including splitters and reducer. 6 stars from this confirmed buyer.

The 120mm stock fan that comes with the H60 is extremely loud. I used that stock fan inside a Hackintosh build, for a 3930k i7, LGA2011, mainly for video editing (with Mavericks OSX). Even though I use headphones most of the time for foley/sound editing, the Corsair stock fan was so loud that I eventually broke down and researched what alternatives were available.

Ugly color but they work great on my build.

Teaming up eleven stator guide vanes with a specially conceived seven blade impeller, the NF-F12’s Focused Flow system creates outstanding static pressure and focuses the airflow for superior performance on heatsinks and radiators. At the same time, a wide range of advanced aerodynamic design measures, second generation SSO-Bearing and Noctua’s new, custom designed PWM IC for fully automatic control assures astounding quietness of operation. The NF-F12 comes with modular cabling, integrated anti-vibration pads and two speed settings for full flexibility. Its commanding performance, exhaustive set of features and Noctua’s trusted premium quality make it an elite choice for use on air coolers, radiators and other pressure demanding applications.

Focused Flow frame

Designed for pressure demanding applications such as heatsinks and radiators, the Focused Flow frame features eleven stator guide vanes that straighten, channel and focus the airflow, which allows the NF-F12 to rival the performance of conventional fans running at much faster speeds.

Heptaperf Impeller

Custom designed for the new Focused Flow frame and to work in tandem with the eleven stator guide vanes, the NF-F12"s seven blade Heptaperf impeller has been carefully optimised to achieve a perfect balance between power and quietness.

SSO2 bearing

The NF-F12 is the first fan to feature the further optimised second generation of Noctua"s renowned, time-tested SSO bearing. With SSO2, the rear magnet is placed closer to the axis to provide even better stabilisation, precision and durability.

Varying Angular Distance and Vortex Control Notches

The NF-F12"s stator guide vanes are set out in Varying Angular Distance and feature Vortex-Control Notches. Both measures help to spread the noise emission over a broader frequency spectrum and thus make the fan"s sound pattern more agreeable to the human ear.

Scope of Delivery

  • NA-RC6 Low-Noise Adaptor (L.N.A)
  • NA-YC1 4-pin PWM y-cable
  • NA-EC1 30cm extension cable
