Noctua NF-S12A PWM, Premium Quiet Fan, 4-Pin (120mm, Brown)

I bought a pair of these to replace the fans on my Corsair H100i CPU cooler and they are much quieter than the fans that came with the unit. The only problem that I had is that these fans are slightly thicker than other fans that I have used. One of the fans ended up hitting the motherboard ATX power connector after being installed. After playing with it for a while, I broke the fan blades and had to replace the fan. My solution for my problem was to use the fan as an intake instead of exaust fan. It was not what I wanted but it did the trick.

I purchased these fans to replace two cooler master fans that seemed to be giving out. I have a corsair 300 r case and my old fans which were on the side panel were making a very annoying noise that I could hear from other rooms. I tried giving them some TLC but it didnt help much. I got fed up having to hear that so I decided to try these noctua fans. They were super easy to install and now the noise is GONE. I dont know if I necessarily needed to go with these fans, maybe others wouldve been fine for noise as well, but these are extremely quiet. I dont really do any heavy over-clocking or anything crazy so my need for cooling may not be the same as other people. That being said, I did notice a drop in temperature after installing these fans, so Im assuming theyre doing their job well. Though at this point I really only care that theyre extremely quiet (for emphasis).

Best case fans I have purchased.

Not quite what I was expecting. I hear a lot about Noctua, they are held in real high esteem among PC builders and enthusiasts alike. So it was a clear choice at the time of purchase. I bought it to replace the stock fan on my Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, but I was surprised to discover that this fan just isnt powerful enough to cool my i7-3770K at stock clock. I had to change the speed of this fan in the BIOS to 80% just to keep my CPU at an average of 28C to 30C. Decent fan, but not really meant for CPU cooling.

It is noisy

Tralasciando la ventola in sé, che, da sola, rappresenta un gioiellino di ingegneria, vi inviterei a diffidare di tutti coloro che vi diranno che questa ventola è silenziosa: è INUDIBILE! Non sono riuscito a sentirne il rumore nemmeno accostando lorecchio alla paratia del mio case!

Adding just one of these to my NZXT H230 dropped my Sapphire Radeon VAPOR-X R9 280X Temp by 5C while playing Sniper Elite 3. I got one empty spot and 2 stock fans I want to replace. Ill be getting 3 more of these.

Contacted Noctua about about my new fan and what appeared to be a quality control failure from the factory. They replied with excuses which were not helpful and certainly didnt resolve anything. When I replied asking them to replace the fan they never responded. So, if you have a problem with your Noctua product, dont count on them being helpful or honoring their warranty. They obviously try to increase sales by offering a long warranty but its utterly meaningless if they just ignore customers who actually request a replacement. Furthermore, Ive done some checking and there are other complaints about their bad (even rude and disrespectful) customer service. Based on my experience with this Noctua fan purchase, I would not recommend it specifically or the brand generally.

comprata perchè amante del silenzio ho voluto sostituire la bellissima enermax apollish con led rossi,bellissima come effetto di luce,ma era divenuta rumorosa forse per la polvere e rispetto alle noctua sul dissipatore era troppo romorosa,quindi spendo queste 20 euro sapendo la qualità delle noctua.
