> 3 dayAttached easily to an Asus Z170 motherboard and keeps the temps of an overclocked (4800MHz) Skylake 6700k under 40 C running at about 800 rpm. Very quiet.

Greater than one weekI built a system around this (and the case), aiming for a quiet PC and got exactly that. I followed the directions exactly. It is not only quiet, but effective. I didnt test the stock cooler for my Ryzen 5600x cpu, but even lacking that comparison, I can say this exceeded expectations. I would buy again.

> 3 dayWe preferentially use Noctua heatsinks because they perform well at a reasonable pricepoint and the NH-C14S is no exception. Very easy to mount and unless youre chasing the every last tenth of a degree of cooling, the included thermal paste precludes the need to buy an additional product.

> 3 dayThe main plate on the heatsink had a scratch across it. Im not sure how this happened as there was no damage to the packaging and the protective cover was in the correct place. If I built my computer within the 30day return period I would have returned it to Amazon. I reached out to Noctua and their customer service said it wont affect cooling performance and might actually improve it. I think thats just a joke, if it improved cooling performance then they should prescratch all of their heatsinks, Lol.

21-11-2024This thing is a fantastic beast of heat dissipation with the single fan it comes with. Add another on top and I dunno you must be overclocking at the limits, ut Im sure it will handle it. Also very quiet in operation even under stress testing. My only caution is in my title. It comes with Id say the perfect install phillips tool but its hard to see , and unless you do say 4 or 5 of these you wont have the feel for it. Usually one of the two screws is in a hard to observe area so do that one first the second one is easy. Also seeing between the fan blades and getting a good side shot, well an endoscope would have come in handy there. Also with all the attempts I did lose some skin to the cooling vanes. The manufacture warns that once installed dont travel with the computer without first uninstalling the cooler, its heavy enough and in such a small area attachment point I believe it may break off the motherboard in transit or if the desktop falls a few feet. In the end Noctua, you have done it , and delivered
