Works as expected

I was anyway having good expectations from this cooler, and it the end it was actually MUCH, MUCH better !! It is a very good cooler and does an amazing job at keeping my CPU cool. I use it on top of an i7-10700K which is overclocked at a fixed 5.0 GHZ on all cores, 1.31 Vcore. Lowering the Vcore more than this made the CPU unstable. My case is a full tower Cooler Master with an additional 8 coolers installed so the air flow is very good. In idle and while web surfing, my CPU hovers at around 38 degrees Celsius. While installing some software or playing video games it goes at around 50-55 degrees Celsius. The overall noise level is minimum, also as my tower is under my desk, is hardly audible. In full load (CPU stress tests) the CPU occasionally spikes at 80 degrees Celsius for just a couple of instants and it normally stick at around 72 degrees. I think this result speaks for itself. I guess the CPU sample is also not bad from a silicon lottery perspective. I totally recommend this Cooler. Overall exceptional value for the money you pay. If you need something better than this, you should consider water cooling systems. For me they are too bulky, so I stick with air cooling!

Compré este producto para un procesador con fama de ser muy exigente en cuanto a refrigeración: Skylake-X i7 7820X subido de frecuencia (overclock) a 4,7GHz (+delidding)... y este disipador es capaz de mantener a raya las temperaturas, sin que suba de 80ºC bajo pruebas de estrés, y con temperaturas mucho más bajas en condiciones más realistas. Para el overclock que tiene el procesador, y lo que se calienta de por sí (tiene un TDP de 140W sin overclock) está bastante bien.

Easy to install with the motherboard out of the case. Supplied screwdriver is soft producing swarf so ditched this for a regular electrical screwdriver as I was concerned about having swarf shorting components.

High end cooler for AM3+ chips. Keeps everything cool even when exercising the system to the max.

Its huge but it gets the job done. My cpu runs very cool 24/7. I hear too many horror stories from liquid coolers. Hands down, best cpu fan you can get. It moves some serious air and its dead silent.

Intels mounting designs have always been absolute garbage. You would think Noctua would be able to improve on this, but with a complete lack of testing in the design they failed for the simplest and laziest of reasons.

This product was incredibly easy to install compared to prior fans. That might be because AM4 has very easy mounting systems, Im not sure. Ive only build AM3+ computers prior to this. It feels high quality, pushes a lot of air, and is very quiet. Even includes a very spiffy little metal sticker for your case.
