Noctua NH-D15, Premium CPU Cooler with 2X NF-A15 PWM 140mm Fans (Brown)

I had a close system water cooler that was failing only 1.5 years after I bought my computer. It would idle at 95 C. With this, I idle at 40 C, and hope to not have to replace it for many more years than 1.5.

High-quality design in every respect. Very effective and quiet. I installed the cooler on an ASUS X99-A in a LIAN LI PC-A75 full-size case. Theres no room to spare, but the design is perfectly done and clears everything, including Corsair Vengeance LPX memory and a Gigabyte GV-N75TOC2-2GI GTX 750 Ti dual HDMI graphics board in the #1 slot on the motherboard. I definitely recommend this over the water cooling alternative.

It does keep my Ryzen 7 cool 70c full load after 60 minutes, and the fan is quiet but....

Big cpu cooler but fit my corsair 400C case and kingston hyper x rams, I can easily close the side panel and the fan is still like 1mm above the ram

This is one awesome cooler! With two fan humming at low RPM, barely audible, it keeps the idle temps as close to ambient temperature as I think are possible with an air cooler (within 2-3C).

Quieter than expected on fx-8320 cpu. A little large, but careful consideration of the space required for this heatsink along with the space available in your case should avoid any surprise size issues.

No hubo necesidad de agregar más que los dos abanicos que vienen por default en el gabinete porque la verdad es que enfría perfectamente y no hace nada de ruido. Es increíble. El único detalle es el tamaño; es un disipador muy voluptuoso por lo que hay que fijarse bien que quepa en el gabinete antes de cualquier cosa.

Un dissipatore incredibile. Le temperature sotto stres non superano i 45 gradi e questo in totale silenzio!!!. Un acquisto quasi obbligato per chi vuole darsi da fare con loverclockin. Arrivato in tempi di consegna e ottimamente imballata. Consiglio.

So far, so good. Very easy to install and equal performance to the Swiftech H240x its replaced, which is a copper radiator water cooling kit. Sadly, the water pump failed on that kit, so I decided to try air this time. Never going back to water again. I could have bought 2 of these Noctua coolers for the price of the H240x, plus this has fewer moving parts so theres less to go wrong. Even if one fan dies, theres still a second one to prevent overheating. Even if both fans died, the heatsink will passively cool the CPU. With my water cooler, the pump died while I was away from my desk and when I came back, the temps were at 89C. Not good.
