> 24 hourEveryone knows that this is one of the top air coolers on the market. One ongoing problem with this series -CLEARANCE. The ram is always a problem - can only use one fan

> 24 hourStock cooler had my 4790k at 70-80c under load, while gaming. This one keeps it at 45c or less. Idle temps of 28c. Its completely silent - I cant hear it at all. Its a monster. Be prepared for the size of it and make sure it will fit in your case. A

> 24 hourSize is everything. NH-D15 is the King Kong of CPU air coolers on every level--still the low decibel leader under load while matching the best AIO water cooling within a degree or two. Noctuas legendary fans and mounting hardware are now paired with a re-engineered fin configuration that exceeds the cooling power of the former industry leader, the NH-D14. Be aware of RAM height limits with this cooler. See Noctuas website or other user forums to evaluate whether your current RAM will fit. Often low profile RAM will be necessary, depending on the motherboard size or layout.

> 24 hourreplaced my water cooling system. Water cooling system with large radiator and two 120mm fans were LOUD. So decided, as a result of reading reviews, to give this a shot. Glad I did. Easy install and my temps are LOWER on average and under load then my water cooled system and most importantly the fans dont even have to increase in speed. Super quiet. Hightly recommend. The hype is real.

> 24 hourFirst off, I do not care about noise levels on air cooling as long as it isnt Alienware thermal throttling jet engines. This thing is very quiet to me even at max. Tamed my Ryzen no problem and runs very cool even after hours of gaming with temps far, far below what AMD specifies as safe. Not much else to say, check your case clearances, especially if you have a top mount AIO GPU like mine. My Carbide Air 740 fits it just fine but 2 of my other cases I tried, no good for those mid tower rectangles at all as it contacts the AIO without being front mounted. Great cooler, good stuff Noctua. Appreciate the included fan splitter too.

> 24 hourWorks well with LGA 2011-V3 CPUs, which tend to get EXTREMELY hot while playing games, rendering, etc. I have an i7-5930K and while running RealTemp I get 32C-34C idle temps, and I usually only hit 40C while playing games like Overwatch on highest settings. And thats at my peak, it usually hovers around 38C while playing.
