> 3 dayThis thing is silent. I had another brand on my CPU for over a year, and never thought much of the sound. I got this one because of another project I was building. I decided to buy this cooler for my computer and use the current one for it. I cant even tell my computer is on unless I look at the tower light. It keeps my CPU cool and remains silent.

> 3 dayYou cannot go wrong with Noctua CPU air coolers. I have put these on everyone of my PC builds for as far back as I can remember. The fans run absolutely forever. I have a machine that has been used daily for going on 6 years with the previous version of this cooler. No issues at all and still running strong. I do not expect any less from the new model. Just make sure your case can handle the cooler height. Most case reputable manufacturers will list a maximum cooler height.

Greater than one weekWhile researching coolers for a new build, AIO solutions intrigued me. But I was worried about the potential for pump failure rendering it useless. After some more research, I found that was actually a problem, also small water pumps are noisy. So I decided to stick to air coolers, as if a fan fails itll be inconvenient at worst. Noctua and Be Quiet! came up as the two I should look at for quiet operation.

> 3 dayPut this on an i7-4970k that was getting too hot even though not overclocked. Great build quality and packaging. Under full load, CPU now never breaks 70, and that is with only one of the fans running. Clears my DIMMS just fine, but in my case (BitFenix Prodigy M) its not possible to install all 4 3.5inch drives without modifying the hard drive bracket to provide more clearance. Not a big deal, and somewhat expected given how large this thing is....
