> 3 dayI ordered two different fans for LGA 2011v3, both times I got hardware that wouldnt fit the CPUs. I have the newer style CPU holder, and they didnt have the hardware to fit the cpu holder.

> 3 dayI have a PC I built a few years back that runs an Intel I7 4790K CPU on and ASUS z97 pro motherboard. While this is a great CPU, it runs HOT! Therefore when I built the PC I decided to install a liquid cooler. With it, the CPU still ran warm but acceptable at about a temperature of 75C. About 12 months later the liquid cooler died and I purchased another liquid cooler. About 2 years after that (last week) that cooler died as well. I decided to see what was available for a non liquid cooler option at which time I came across the Noctua NH-D15. Wow has technology changed for traditional CPU coolers since I last looked. I received the Noctua NH-D15 less than 2 days after ordering. Installation was a little tricky as it required me to disassemble my current system to get to the back side of the motherboard to install the mounting bracket. Also this thing is big and might not fit all cases. Luckily I have a full tower and was able to get it to work. The actual assembly of the cooler and fans is pretty straight forward. Once put together I turned the system on and wow...my CPU temperature now runs between 30 and 40C! I noticed many of the applications and software I run performing much faster. Looks like a CPU at a high temperature runs things slower.

> 3 dayThe best air cooler out there in term of both cooling+noise.

16-11-2024Excellent quality again from Noctua. Used on an i7 8700K on a Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master motherboard. On stress test the CPU peaked at 58 degrees. Very happy!

> 3 dayTruly a beast of a cooler, this thing will cool any CPU down to the mid to low 40c range. Very big form however I saw an improvement of -20c from my previous temperatures. Overall possible the best CPU cooler I’ve ever seen.
