Greater than one weekVery efficient, silent and keep my CPU cool. The case Im using is the Fractal Design Define C, which is one of the most sound proof and, consequently, it gets warm/hot very fast. The CPU is the Ryzen 5 3600 (Zen 2), which is known to reach higher temperatures than the Zen 1 and Zen +. I needed a quiet and efficient fan that would go along with the airflow inside the case. The Noctua NH-U12S SE-AM4 was a perfect match.

07-06-2025Used with a Ryzen 5 2600x and my temperatures, which were a problem while gaming and streaming, are perfect. At stock cpu settings with overclocked RAM, my cpu never goes over 65 degrees C. Under stress test of 100% load, cpu never exceeded 72 degrees C after 15 mins.

Greater than one weekI cant even hear the fan and my Ryzen 2600 never peaks over 65*C, even with a low fan curve.

Greater than one weekLove this cooler as it dropped the temps of my cpu by 15 to 20c when gaming and when just watching videos or other apps it never gets over 65c. My comp used to hit 85c on some games and now stays below 70c 95% of time.

Greater than one weekWorks perfectly for my Ryzen 1700. I also had another fan for a push/pull configuration. Overclocked to 4.0 Ghz and never have any heating issues. Great product company.

Greater than one weekI am very impressed with the NH-U12S SE-AM4. Took under 10 mins to put it in and 20 mins using acetone (nothing else worked) to get the AMD tim off. Idle temps are 20c cooler and no fan in my system is making much noise now. With Prime 95 temps are 15c-20c lower and I can barely hear the fan unlike the Stock fan the 1600 came with.

> 3 dayIf you can afford it, go Noctua. I cant think of any downsides to this CPU cooler other than the higher price. For me, the improved mounting system alone made it a better option than the Hyper 212.
