Noctua NM-i115x-1200, Mounting Kit for Noctua CPU Coolers on Intels LGA115x/LGA1200 Platforms

So I was putting my pc parts in an old Powermac G5. wanted to keep a lot of original parts. What a headache. Anyway one of my last little touches was putting the old G5 heatsink which as an absolute monster onto my i7, which had two fans pushing into a tunnel dedicated for the heatsink, and two fans exhausting, all Noctua of course. All I had to do was find a way to mount their weird proprietary heatsink to a modern LGA 1200 i7 processor. I looked around everywhere, kinda finally went out on a limb and bought this kit, and it actually fits. I did have to drill out two holes just about 0.5 mm over, but I laughed when I actually lined it all up and discovered it would secure the heatsink down. No problems so far, and I dont foresee any since anything Noctua Ive ever had outlasts whatever its cooling. My old max temps were 75c with the stock cooler, and the heat would throttle down my processor, now with the powermac cooler with this kit I am getting about 52 max with no throttling, so it works well. I also like how it came in premium packaging for simple hardware. Quality company.

Fit on my LGA 1151 motherboard perfectly! I had bought the Noctua NH-15 Standard Edition by mistake....

I went from a AMD Ryzen 7 1700x to an I5 9600k. I wanted to keep my Noctua cooler and this kit allowed me to convert my noctua w/o having to buy another.

I needed another mounting kit for my NH-D15. This one made my day. Worth the money.

My last PC build was 8 years ago with a Socket 2011 Intel i7 4930k processor. I used a Noctua NH-U14S CPU cooler because it was the most efficient & quietest air cooler available. It kept my 4930k running cool for the entire time Ive owned it, so I wanted to reuse it for my new build.

I misplaced one of the mounting brackets when I purchased my CPU cooler, not needing it for my then current motherboard. When I upgraded my motherboard, I needed to replace that part to move my cooler. This had everything I needed (in fact, more than I needed, since I still had most of the parts), and like every other Noctua product Ive purchased, the quality is excellent and the packaging is well thought out and premium.
