Noctua NM-i115x-1200, Mounting Kit for Noctua CPU Coolers on Intels LGA115x/LGA1200 Platforms

So I was putting my pc parts in an old Powermac G5. wanted to keep a lot of original parts. What a headache. Anyway one of my last little touches was putting the old G5 heatsink which as an absolute monster onto my i7, which had two fans pushing into a tunnel dedicated for the heatsink, and two fans exhausting, all Noctua of course. All I had to do was find a way to mount their weird proprietary heatsink to a modern LGA 1200 i7 processor. I looked around everywhere, kinda finally went out on a limb and bought this kit, and it actually fits. I did have to drill out two holes just about 0.5 mm over, but I laughed when I actually lined it all up and discovered it would secure the heatsink down. No problems so far, and I dont foresee any since anything Noctua Ive ever had outlasts whatever its cooling. My old max temps were 75c with the stock cooler, and the heat would throttle down my processor, now with the powermac cooler with this kit I am getting about 52 max with no throttling, so it works well. I also like how it came in premium packaging for simple hardware. Quality company.

It just enlarge your investment in the cooler you got before. Its very well constructed. Noctua makes quality products. I hope they make more mounting kits for future sockets.

I bought the Noctua NH-D14 2011 for the PWM fans, and got this item to change out the included mounting kit. No issue with it, clear instructions. Well built product, with nice packaging as always by Noctuca.

Just what I needed to adapt a cooler to a 1151 intel socket coming off an AM4.

I went from a AMD Ryzen 7 1700x to an I5 9600k. I wanted to keep my Noctua cooler and this kit allowed me to convert my noctua w/o having to buy another.

Astonishingly well packaged for an add-on kit. Packaged like a fine watch. Worked just great going to a new socket 1150 board.

I purchased this to migrate my C14 to a new motherboard.
