I purchased this to replace the flange I had to bust out in my bathroom. Clean the inside of your cast iron pipe (with a wire brush on your drill) and drop this unit in and tighten the bolts which expands a moveable portion at the bottom of this flange. It will attach to the cast iron pipe as if it were a soldered joint. I have had it in for about 6 months and have NO issues or problems whatsoever.

Lifesaver. I had an old (from 1962) cast iron pipe in a slab floor and the old flange was long gone. This went right in, sealed up nice and tight and toilet flushes great.

This thing was/is amazing. Fit perfectly into the cast iron pipe and tightened as tight as the old cast iron flange used to be. Toilet is as tight as it could be and it doesn’t wobble anymore!!! Very happy with this....

i needed this to fit inside my leaded pipe sleeve that was damaged due to 100+ yrs in use. Worked and sealed the pipe better than others i looked at. However, giving 4 stars as the SS bolts were really cheap and 2/3 seized up or cross threaded upon tightening. Maybe i should have greased them before, but I had to cut both apart with dremel and replace with better HW.

Remodeled my older bathroom and was left with an old 4 cast iron cut off for the toilet drain. This fit perfectly inside the old 4 pipe and tightened up nice and snug using some Allen wrenches.

trying to save some money I decided to install new toilet myself. Pulled old toilet and found the metal flange had rusted and cracked. Also noticed the ground around the pipe had rotted away. Not being sure if a new metal flange could be bolted done properly. I called a plumber friend who suggested this product. Plastic so no rust and rubber seal feature would help hold it down. Added some grout around to fill in the rotted areas to make level as possible. Placed inside pipe tightened allen heads slowly and criss cross back and forth to make an even seal. I also tried adding a few long screws to help hold it down...but I think seal well hold it in place. success toilets in and working no problems so far. I give the product 4 stars because I think price is high but again being a novice well worth it. When the time comes for another toilet change I might try a cheaper alternative. hope this helps someone new to this.
