I have received my McAfee Total Protection Product in a bubble yellow envelope without a sealed closed box. I was not surprised to received the notice Activation Code Isnt Right. The envelope was badly sealed and the activation code on the paper product did not have a scratch off to hide the code underneath. I would have better protection from a $1 scratch off ticket at a lottery store. This was shipped from Amazon Suite 141, 901 Bilter Road, Aurora, Il. 60502. I will try to contact McAfee to scan this code again. McAfee should send me another code that is sealed in a box or a code underneath a scratch off. For years I was a Norton Guy and then I swapped to McAfee due to a holiday promotion on the product, and I was totally sold (hook, line, sinker) from that point on. My employer is a huge company, and it also swapped from Norton to McAfee. That helped confirm my decision even more. It works great in tandem with Malwarebytes, and my online activity is extremely secure, giving me minimal concern of having my entire computer system screwed up. The scheduling of scans is easy, and the reporting is helpful and accurate. I find it VERY easy to recommend this product to others, and even though I just completed my annual renewal, Ive already purchased for 2020. Im that pleased. Thanks, McAfee!!

premium AV from mcafee, has VPN, lots of security features too, has minimal system resource usage.

When I tried to install this Mcafee product that I purchased and typed in the activation code it would not work. After several tries and double checking that I had entered the activation code correctly, I had to call Macfee support. I read them the number and they said the activation code was 2 letters short. I had to send them copy of my receipt as well as copy of my activation code card that was sent to me via US mail. They then had to download me a link so I could activate the subscription that I purchased through Amazon. All this took approximately a hour of my time which I was not pleased having to stay on the phone for that length of time.

Installation is always a pain but the price is fair. I havent used tech support yet so...I havent had a virus in previous years.

When the one that came pre-installed on my HP leather Folio expired, I discovered that the renewal price was over $140. I canceled my subscription and bought this one from Amazon for only a fraction of the price. It was easy to install and Im loving it

I dont like paying for year #2 on day #1. For that reason, I didnt even install it and Ill probably return it.

I had noticed that this product was significantly slower than Nortons right away after install, but kept going since this was significantly less expensive. Now 3 months in, the weekly virus scan slows the system so much that I am forced to reboot, and Im not even being really protected since the updates are consistently failing. Tech supports solution is to reimage to a new OS and download their new version. That is not going to happen. And, no, it is not a money back guarantee. After 30 days, they keep all your money. I never do reviews of products, but this is so bad and such a pain that I want to spare others. An update since it is worse than I thought. McAfee itself is a virus. It has installed itself in a way that I cannot remove. The installer program it installed is incompatible with the OS and should never have been installed. Ill continue to search for ways to get rid of it. And McAfee has stolen my credit card info. Well, borrowed it and wont give it back. I cant find a way to remove it from my account or to delete my account with them. This is by far the worst software that I have ever dealt with. Another update: The saga is almost over, months later. I had saved the original installer from when I first purchased Total Protection, and it turns out that the 1st thing that it does is remove any McAfee software that it finds. So I let it do that and exitted. Why couldnt their support have told me this, or better yet, given me that installer? After more talking with their tech support, they were able to get me a refund (which did arrive reasonably promptly) and the support person was able to remove my credit card information from my account. The final tidbit is to actually remove my McAfee account and personal info completely. Their support told me to look under their Privacy information where I found a link which might get that to happen but it seemed to imply that they were only doing this for European customers. Well see.
