Ive used McAfee products since 2012 on a new 2012-Dell desktop. Havent had any problems yet (2022). My Dell came with Windows 7 in 2012 from Dells website; it got the free Windows 10 upgrade in 2016, it doesnt qualify for Windows 11.

Every other day the Viewer would pop-up, freeze, and show a blank screen so you couldnt see whether it was blocking or allowing internet traffic and from whom. Totally defeats the purpose of protecting your computer... lol smh Ive loved McAfee for over 20 years, but sheesh. It took 3 months of updating to stop doing this. And I noticed when I wiped the hard drive clean and had to re-install McAfee, it went right back to the blank viewer appearing whenever an app wanted to access the internet. Youd think one update would fix this, but nope. Took another month of multiple updates. Maybe the 2023 version is fixed? I hope so because last years version was terrible.

I dont like paying for year #2 on day #1. For that reason, I didnt even install it and Ill probably return it.

The Last two McAfee products that I have purchased I have had the same problem as soon as you put the number in it will except the number and say everything is good then my computer will lock up and you get a 1-800 number to call and when you call that number you get a guy from India telling you that your firewall computer is being attack by someplace in the middle east SCAM and that you have to pay him $125.00 to fix it. So I bought a Norton product and install it and did not have any problem I dont know what has happen to McAfee but I will NEVER buy from them again and I did send it back for a Full refund on May 26 2020 and still I have NOT got a refund please be very careful before you buy any McAfee products and they take forever to give you back your refund Im still waiting on mine.

EASY TO USE Have used this product for over 5 years. No problems at all.

Are you paying attention Norton?

Didn’t recognize that I already had an account. I Didn’t know a trial version came with the unit and I purchased a new program. Now it keeps telling me my account is about to expire

Im not very good at this type of thing, you would think at 75 years old I would do better, but this was pretty easy so far. Now I just have my husbands ti deal with. Im happy with this product so far. Thanks McAfee!
