This is the one software I buy on amazon. I never do auto renew! I wait a few days after expiration and get a new card on Amazon. McAfee charges way too much for auto renew. They can be annoying (pop ups) getting close to expire date. So only 4 stars for that reason.

The cost of renewal for McAfee LiveSafe was almost double that of last year. After comparing LiveSafe with Total Protection (nearly identical) I purchased McAfee Total Protection for 3 devices. I was somewhat paranoid at first, as I had read a couple horror stories about people trying to do that and running into trouble. The McAfee website assured me that all I had to do was uninstall LiveSafe first using Windows 10 control panel / Add or Remove Programs. I am here to reassure you that this worked flawlessly on two different computers of mine. After uninstalling LiveSafe, I restarted the computer. Then I used the Total Protection subscription card that I ordered on Amazon for $19.99. Went to the McAfee activate website, as per the instructions on the card. Entered my product key. Downloaded the software and it installed successfully. Absolutely no problems whatsoever. I have been a happy McAfee customer for about 3 years now. The program behaves itself; it is not intrusive; it does not adversely impact the performance of the computer. I hope this helps, and I hope McAfee sends me some money. :-)

Installation is always a pain but the price is fair. I havent used tech support yet so...I havent had a virus in previous years.

Been using McAfee for years, but until now it was just virus protection and the firewall. Decided to try the password manager and its pretty cool. EDIT TO ADD (8/2021): So I came across this review and realized that I never edited it to explain my subsequent experience. About 18 months ago I bought a new laptop and used cloud storage to transfer some of my files. There was at least one file that the storage service refused to upload because it was detecting a virus. This was on a computer that I was using McAfee to scan for viruses at least once per month. And McAfee was swearing up and down that there were no viruses. I am not using McAfee anymore and I am not recommending them.

Hate auto renewal...so gave this a try. Easy to install. DID not need or use tech support so cant really rate them. Love the value.

The code was easy to install on all three of my items. It is working fine as far as I can tell. I do not like having extra protection offers coming up occasionally. Otherwise I am happy with the program.

I was using Avast and it will prompt risks, issues when asked to fix it will prompt to pay additional cost each time e.g. remove registry or clean registry $29.00 for 1 year. Its buggy not fixing and just reporting. Hence thought of switching back to McAfee where it make us feel our laptop is secure and totally protected.
