Like Mcafee over Norton, seems less intrusive, it just does its thing and leaves you alone. Dont like - Trying to force me to use safe search Yahoo. I dont like Yahoo.

The Last two McAfee products that I have purchased I have had the same problem as soon as you put the number in it will except the number and say everything is good then my computer will lock up and you get a 1-800 number to call and when you call that number you get a guy from India telling you that your firewall computer is being attack by someplace in the middle east SCAM and that you have to pay him $125.00 to fix it. So I bought a Norton product and install it and did not have any problem I dont know what has happen to McAfee but I will NEVER buy from them again and I did send it back for a Full refund on May 26 2020 and still I have NOT got a refund please be very careful before you buy any McAfee products and they take forever to give you back your refund Im still waiting on mine.

The cost of renewal for McAfee LiveSafe was almost double that of last year. After comparing LiveSafe with Total Protection (nearly identical) I purchased McAfee Total Protection for 3 devices. I was somewhat paranoid at first, as I had read a couple horror stories about people trying to do that and running into trouble. The McAfee website assured me that all I had to do was uninstall LiveSafe first using Windows 10 control panel / Add or Remove Programs. I am here to reassure you that this worked flawlessly on two different computers of mine. After uninstalling LiveSafe, I restarted the computer. Then I used the Total Protection subscription card that I ordered on Amazon for $19.99. Went to the McAfee activate website, as per the instructions on the card. Entered my product key. Downloaded the software and it installed successfully. Absolutely no problems whatsoever. I have been a happy McAfee customer for about 3 years now. The program behaves itself; it is not intrusive; it does not adversely impact the performance of the computer. I hope this helps, and I hope McAfee sends me some money. :-)

i ve been using Mcafee for years can t say enough about it . it arrived early than expected .great condition . and i have the key card incase i need to refer back to it . will by again when this expires .

I had noticed that this product was significantly slower than Nortons right away after install, but kept going since this was significantly less expensive. Now 3 months in, the weekly virus scan slows the system so much that I am forced to reboot, and Im not even being really protected since the updates are consistently failing. Tech supports solution is to reimage to a new OS and download their new version. That is not going to happen. And, no, it is not a money back guarantee. After 30 days, they keep all your money. I never do reviews of products, but this is so bad and such a pain that I want to spare others. An update since it is worse than I thought. McAfee itself is a virus. It has installed itself in a way that I cannot remove. The installer program it installed is incompatible with the OS and should never have been installed. Ill continue to search for ways to get rid of it. And McAfee has stolen my credit card info. Well, borrowed it and wont give it back. I cant find a way to remove it from my account or to delete my account with them. This is by far the worst software that I have ever dealt with. Another update: The saga is almost over, months later. I had saved the original installer from when I first purchased Total Protection, and it turns out that the 1st thing that it does is remove any McAfee software that it finds. So I let it do that and exitted. Why couldnt their support have told me this, or better yet, given me that installer? After more talking with their tech support, they were able to get me a refund (which did arrive reasonably promptly) and the support person was able to remove my credit card information from my account. The final tidbit is to actually remove my McAfee account and personal info completely. Their support told me to look under their Privacy information where I found a link which might get that to happen but it seemed to imply that they were only doing this for European customers. Well see.

Best way to gain more protection on you devices.

Installation is always a pain but the price is fair. I havent used tech support yet so...I havent had a virus in previous years.

The newer version of Mcafee made uninstall the older version expired on my computer, and installation of the new software very easy. Worked well with no issues. Well priced for 3 devices although I dont need 3 licenses.

Have used McAfee Total Protection for several years. It does an excellent job in providing internet security without bogging down my computer.
