It wont do what i need it to do which is hold a bunch of water for 1/2-1 inch brushes whose handles wont fit in the holes provided. Holds maybe 3 cups of water and will still need changing too often. Also arrived with a broken lid even though the material seems tough enough. I got this for face painting...not adequate. Perhaps for a watercolor class ????

Buy it! Great price, great product. As a crafter, I have and will use this daily. As a suggestion going forward, I would appreciate this or a similar configuration loaded on a lazy susan type of device if it doesnt cost too much.

Great for painting miniatures. One side to rinse off paint, other side to use to thin paints.

I am doing a painting of a critically endangered or extinct animal every single day(for a year...Ive done 128 as of this review) so this is getting lots of use. Pros: The reservoir is large enough that I dont have to change the water constantly. My brushes are more easily than what I was using (a small jar and then a metal travel water holder). It is sturdy and doesnt feel as if it will tip if accidentally bumped. There are several nice sized brush holders that hold all the brushes I most typically use. Cons: The lid just sits there, you cannot use this when you travel and if you did knock it off of whatever you had it on, the water would go everywhere...and it holds quite a lot. The holes for the brushes are rigid, so if you use large brushes mostly, this wont work. Thankfully because Im doing daily paintings I keep them small and need small brushes. It is a bit annoying to have to take out all the brushes every time I want to clean the water though too. Ideally they would change the design to something with a watertight lid that allows for travel. There could be separate flexible brush holders you attach to the sides so that you just take the whole group of brushes off when you need to change the water.

Works much better than the old butter dish I was using! Love the ridges to clean my brush even better/quicker.
