Pelican 1300 Camera Case

Pelican cases are about the best protection you can buy for your gear. I use mine to store expensive telescope eyepieces, keeps them safe and dirt/dust/moisture free. Also is a great way to carry out multiple items when star gazing.

After dropping my 2-day old camera in a live well, my son felt I needed a little more than a cheap cloth case. This case is heavy-duty and I dont think a truck running over it could crush it. Love the pull out foam so you can customize the case to your camera, batteries, extra cards, and other things you want to keep safe & watertight. Only thing that keeps it from getting a 5 with me is that its a little heavy and wont fit in my purse. But other than that. Its a great case.

I love these cases and this one has not disappointed. It was a little smaller than I thought it would be, but it worked perfect for me.

This 1300 Pelican case is very rugged and well-built. It comes with thick padding that greatly reduces the inside space - but will protect anything inside from shock/drop/moisture. I found I only needed the thin bottom and top pads to store my camera. With the lid closed, its very secure. My only dislike is the latches. They are VERY hard to open/close. A person with weak hands would possibly not be able to seal and unseal the latch. Hopefully with use, it will be easier to latch. I did not test its water-proof claim, but based on how tight the lid locks down on the rubber seal, it seems impossible to leak through to the inside. Clearly, the value of this case is in its strength. I purchased two of these, and I find that they stack together nicely due to the rib design. I deducted one star for the tight latching.
