For slr protection, perfect. I purposefully chose the smallest That would take my D50, extra lens and batteries. But, the latches are such that this size case cannot then be opened with one hand. I hope they will loosen up with time and use.

I use this case for my dslr because I want to protect my investment. Great case I’ve used these before and lost it out of the back of a car on the freeway and it got hit by another car and drug underneath. Everything inside survived untouched. Fairly lightweight considering the durability. Great purchase and easy to customize for whatever item you are putting in it.

Ill be buying more of these for other things for sure. This size fits a D3000 sized DSLR with 18-55 lens attached and plenty of room for padding space. A slightly larger size would have room for a spare lens too.
