Greater than one weekThis rubbing compound works perfectly to remove UV fade on plastic headlight covers. Applied with a cloth and buffed with a 3 pad attachment and electric drill on my 10 year old Sienna Two applications on each lamp and 30 minutes total restored both lamps to almost new clarity. Only used about 1/3 on a vehicle. Im 70 years old and had no difficulty doing this. Save yourself $50 - $100 per car/truck/van.

> 3 dayHonestly a pretty solid cutting compound but very similar to Meguires M100 or M105. There’s not a shocking difference between this 3M product vs Meguires, they both cut about the same regardless if on paint or plastics like headlights / taillights. Paint is obviously softer and easier to cut than plastic but this compound CAN do it with enough passes and a good cutting pad. The main seller for this compared to other products would be the lifespan of the product, meaning I can use SMALLER portions of it and still get the job done. Also it’s really good at staying “wet” even when cutting if that makes sense, it doesn’t easily harden on the surface you’re compounding unlike Meguires. Price tag is pretty steep for around $45-$50, however the bottle is quite large for the actual portion size I use, so I can see this bottle lasting a few months. If you do decide to buy this product, full transparency here there’s not much that “wowed” me and is quite similar to other cutting compounds like Meguires or Sonax even. Don’t expect a life changing experience that will cut time dramatically, rather expect a longer lasting product.

> 3 dayIm not the worlds best painter - far from it. So a recent painting job required more sanding than I would have preferred. Sanding with 1500, then 3000 grit took out the flaws. I used this by hand to get out final scratches and haze. It worked great on by the old (20 year) paint and the new paint. Very happy with final results.
