I have some scuffing on one rear panel and door and gave the product the old college try. Marginal success, at beat.

3m makes the best. I went to try this new perfect it EX compound. I normally use the regular perfect it compound and this stuff seems to be less dusty when buffing, has a different smell to it but I still think the cheaper 3m perfect compound works better then this. This just seems to be more low dusting then anything.

Im not the worlds best painter - far from it. So a recent painting job required more sanding than I would have preferred. Sanding with 1500, then 3000 grit took out the flaws. I used this by hand to get out final scratches and haze. It worked great on by the old (20 year) paint and the new paint. Very happy with final results.

3M products aren’t cheap but you do get what you pay for

Great compound, works great on foam pads and made my boat look new again, followed up using #2 and then liquid gold wax.

I bought it to polish my car with excellent results. I really like this product. I recommend it.

It is important to know that this is a RUBBING COMPOUND, not a polish. This is used for heavy cutting, it will leave wheel marks, and most importantly, the finish must be polished (with a POLISH) after you use this product. This compound should never be considered as a final finish polish, but then again only an ill informed amateur would expect it to be, or expect this compound to hold a shine for more than a week, and then lastly complain if it doesnt. As such, this compound works fine for removing dull oxidized paint, and for buffing after wet sanding with 1500 or finer paper. I recommend this product for doing what is designed to do very well.
