> 3 dayI’ve purchased three of these. They are very sturdy, yet light enough to carry on walks.

> 3 dayThe one I received was rather thin. I don’t have huge hand and the grip felt tiny to me. I put it in the wife’s car, but even with her I don’t think it would survive many swings. I wanted to love it... but I don’t.

> 3 dayIm a kayak angler and I ordered this to be my on-board fish whacker. Its a simple and humane way to put the fish down and harvest quality meet. I knock them over the head knocking them out or possibly killing them, then I cut the gills and bleed the fish in an ice slurry. This way the fish suffers the minimum amount and I get clean white blood free meat. I also have an ikejime set on board but thats a lot more work, just knocking them over the head and bleeding the gills is simple and effective. And it floats! This was important to me, I read the questions before buying and it wasnt answered. I looked up hickory wood, it does have an appropriate density to float on water, but I wasnt certain this product was 100% hickory. I still cannot attest to the hickory composition but I am delighted to report that it does float! Testing it floating was my first order of business on the water today. And it was excellent for thumping fish! Its solid, heavy, not too heavy, looks great, feels great, and bonks em real good. 10/10 would recommend.

> 3 dayI like the concept and bought 4 to keep in our cars and trucks. Sadly two are bent, one significantly. Disappointing product quality control.

> 3 dayInitially I purchased one of these fish knockers, as an all situations type of stick. Very solid feeling, and heavier than it looks. It was also aesthetically pleasing to the eye, with the bark still on it. A nice piece of wood. So we bought two more, one of them to give as a gift. But when they arrived (today) we were disappointed in the way they look. The bark is hardly present at all, looking like it was sanded off, and they are basically bare sticks of wood. They feel solid, but they are disappointing. The first stick we received: 5 stars in all categories. The next two we ordered: meh, maybe 3.5 (depending on how much weight you give to the aesthetics of the wood). NOTE. I decided to downgrade my initial 4 star rating to 3 star. I may return the two additional sticks.

> 3 dayWe had a terrible experience with Pepper Spray that DID NOTWORK when a dog got loose and came after our dog. Found this, which is something I would use in a second, and have handy; the speed of a bad dog (or person probably) catches you off-guard; but this in hand ready to go is great. I would not be afraid to use on anything trying to hurt our dog (or me). Makes hubby feel better too about our/my safety. I WOULD LIKE TO ESPECIALLY THANK the reviewer who mentioned a GREAT idea learned in her self-defense class which I have done with my Old Hickory Just a recommendation/idea, of course. BUT was suggested that if you put a sock on the end of Hickory, if someone/dog grabs end and pulls, THE SOCK COMES OFF instead of it getting grabbed from you. Now, so I dont look like a psycho to my neighbors, I even have a poop bag over the end of it, so it looks like Im carrying poop bags and not a club! I wrap the strap on wrist, then the handles of two poop bag I hold & stroll. A little pricey, but I like him (not sure how it identifies!!!) LOL Hopefully Ill never had to report how it worked; but people cant control their dogs all the time, or loose dogs, or the one that got us charged out his house screen door. Anyway, if you use it for tires, bet it works great!

> 3 dayThis is perfect, as a school bus driver checking tires every morning with crowbar was awful.
