> 24 hourI use a couple of these along with some straw on very cold nights inside the shelters we have set up for our outdoor colony of community cats. Mostly inside the TRIXIE dog house. At first the cats did not know what to think of them but after a while they learned that it was warmth. I recommend getting extra covers.

> 24 hourMy outside cats (and opposum) really like these. I have one plug for two houses and the third house, I use these. We are so cold here, that I change and put a warm one in after about 7 hours.

> 24 hourIf you are working with small kittens who need added heat, this product is a life saver! Heating Pads are dangerous due to the electrical cords - I know as I just recently had a kitten electrocuted who was chewing on cord for radio - she survived but spent 3 weeks in ER and has permanent damage and life time seizure meds. These are perfect to heat up and put in with young kittens or cats - we use them for outdoor adoption days when the weather is brisk and we want to showcase our cats and kittens for adoption! LOVE THIS PRODUCT! Lambertville Animal Welfare - Lambertville NJ

> 24 hourI really wanted a plug in heat pad but my husband is very fearful of anything that might be a fire hazard. So I got these to put in the bunny hutch. So far its not something they have chewed on as it is very thick plastic. They may have nibbled a little on the fleece covering. However one of the heat pads developed an indentation (like the beginning of a melted area) and the other one developed the beginning of a burned area. I followed the exact directions for my microwave. Here is what I now do...I turn it over halfway through the heating. I have to heat it for 7 minutes. So I flip it after 3 1/2 minutes. Also you have to make sure your microwave plate is spinning properly. I think if you have any hot spots in your microwave it will cause the melting issue.

> 24 hourLove this product! Use it regularly to keep foster kittens warm and it will last all day, or all night. Easy to remove cover and put in washing machine and love that I can clean the disc too.

> 24 hourPretty much works as advertise, though the heat does not quite last as long as it says. In our weather we find it lasts 5-8 hours outside. Closer to 8 hours if it isnt below zero out. I find it can be very hot to touch if heated for the recommended time. The cover helps, but I would recommend shorting the heating time by 30-60 seconds if placing under pet immediately after heating.

> 24 hourI use these for my hens when the temperatures drop into the teens and sub zero wind chills. They love them! Have extra covers which I do easily in the washing machine. I dont want to use a heating lamp because I am afraid of fire! Last 10+ hours. Sometimes the girls dont want to get off of them in the am!
