> 3 dayLove this product! Use it regularly to keep foster kittens warm and it will last all day, or all night. Easy to remove cover and put in washing machine and love that I can clean the disc too.

> 3 dayI have a hedgehog, so this product was recommended since hedgehogs are very sensitive to the cold in the winter and I did not want to use a plug-in heated blanket (they need a temperature of at least 70*F to be comfortable/happy, and even though they can handle in the high 60s they do tend to start getting sluggish). Kozmo (my hedgehog) loves this thing, and it works great. If you need to go on short trips in cold weather you could microwave this for a few minutes, with it staying plenty warm wrapped in an old pillowcase with blankets on top for the hedgehog to hide/snuggle under. Since hedgehogs will often urinate even in their sleep areas, this product is great since it is very easy to clean between microwaving with a wet paper towel or water and a little soap. The only reason this amazing product did not get 5 stars is because, at least for hedgehogs, you will need to buy two of the snugglesafe heat pads to use in cold weather. This is because frequent changes in temperature can really throw off the hedgehog and they may start acting a little crazy, as well as their sense of time being thrown off. Therefor it is best to have two so one can be heated to last through the night and the other for during the day. *****It is also important for hedgehog owners to remember that even when the weather starts getting warmer, it still might be to cold for hedgehogs since the household heaters will not turn on as often. I found this out the hard way- one day Kozmo tried walking, tripping and stumbling, eyes half closed, with his whole body shaking violently and he ignored his favorite treats or tried very weakly to gum them... I of course freaked out, called vets (it was late at night so most were closed), heated up his SnuggleSafe to put in a carry box with him and rushed over to the vet, really thinking he was horribly sick or dying. Of course, after getting there and sitting in the waiting room for an hour or so, he pops his head out of the box looking for treats- perfectly happy and back to normal thanks to the SnuggleSafe having warmed him up again. So if you see this type of scary behavior, try warming up your hedgie before assuming it suddenly has wobbly hedgehog syndrome, or other such things. Also, if your hedgehog does not come out to eat around his regular time, perhaps several hours late, it might actually be too cold to move- lift up its blankets to see and if its shivering/shaking or in a very, very tight ball and not responding like usual. Heat up the SnugleSafe quick, and maybe even hold the hedgie close to you for your body temperature until it is done in the microwave. Feeling the hedgehog can also tell you if its cold, since even the spikes will feel slightly icy.*****

> 3 dayI purchased this as a donation to Best Friends Animal Societys Bottle Baby program. They requested these to use with newborn kittens that are motherless. Although I havent used them myself yet, if its good enough for Best Friends, I assume its a 5 star product.

> 3 dayWe seem to have the house with a sucker sign when it comes to stray and feral cats. These were originally purchased for one of our feral cats, but the biggest benefactor has been one of our strays. She loves the warmth and although she adores being outside hunting lizards during most of the year, in the winter, she has always enjoyed the basement. This gives her much more warmth and we bought the trio so we could rotate through the Snuggle Safes and keep her relatively warm during this horrible cold snap weve been in. I would give this a 5 star review, however, our cat would give it 6 - if only she could figure out how to work a computer.

> 3 dayI really wanted a plug in heat pad but my husband is very fearful of anything that might be a fire hazard. So I got these to put in the bunny hutch. So far its not something they have chewed on as it is very thick plastic. They may have nibbled a little on the fleece covering. However one of the heat pads developed an indentation (like the beginning of a melted area) and the other one developed the beginning of a burned area. I followed the exact directions for my microwave. Here is what I now do...I turn it over halfway through the heating. I have to heat it for 7 minutes. So I flip it after 3 1/2 minutes. Also you have to make sure your microwave plate is spinning properly. I think if you have any hot spots in your microwave it will cause the melting issue.

> 3 dayThese items have been wonderful in keeping my outside cats comfortable. Even though I live in Arizona, the temps here in Glendale at times were the the high 30s, whcih can be very uncomfortable for outside living animals. My sister in New Jersey who I bought these for, also loves them because her outside cats have had to endure 20s, and lots of snow. So overall I would recommend them to anyone who cares about there outside animals. They hold there temperature even in the coldest temperatures for at least 7-8 hours, before having to be recharged in the microwave, which only takes between 5 to 7 minutes. These are a great idea.
