22-11-2024I really wanted a plug in heat pad but my husband is very fearful of anything that might be a fire hazard. So I got these to put in the bunny hutch. So far its not something they have chewed on as it is very thick plastic. They may have nibbled a little on the fleece covering. However one of the heat pads developed an indentation (like the beginning of a melted area) and the other one developed the beginning of a burned area. I followed the exact directions for my microwave. Here is what I now do...I turn it over halfway through the heating. I have to heat it for 7 minutes. So I flip it after 3 1/2 minutes. Also you have to make sure your microwave plate is spinning properly. I think if you have any hot spots in your microwave it will cause the melting issue.

> 3 dayContinued: After overheating, the kitched filled with a gas that irritated my eyes and made breathing almost impossible. The flooring was burnt and ruined. I was concerned about health effects so I called the US office looking for a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). The guy I spoke with was unhelpful and he blew me off to their UK office, also useless-the computers are down.

> 3 dayI am a wildlife rehabber. These are great for warming injured or small babies that have fallen from nest etc.. Note; If you use for a baby that is helpless and cant move off the pad on their own... PLEASE follow the warming instructions to a T as you can cause great harm if too hot or used improperly. You can, and should, warm with the cover on. Also, microwave wattage time instructions are listed on the instruction slip of paper...read this and know your microwave wattage....I actually had to call the place where I purchased my microwave to learn that mine was. If used properly this product is literally an animal/bird saver. Thank you.

> 3 dayThese are just what I was looking for. I have several semi-feral cats outside. I put together some little shelters but wanted something to provide some warmth without electricity. These are small hard plastic disks that i heat in the microwave for 4.5 minutes then wrap in a towel and put in the shelters. I would put them out at about 8pm and when I checked in the morning (after a night in the 30s) they were still a little warm. Very pleased and plan to order more.

Greater than one weekWe use these ALL the time in my office. Not just for patients but for cold receptionists as well. Several of the staff have them at home for orphan kittens and such.Much safer than a hot water bottle. I got one for my mom while she was doing chemo worked great to keep her toasty.

> 3 dayWe have 2 feral cats that live in a utility shed with an attached enclosure. We have a pet house for each and place the SnuggleSafe pads between 2 soft pet mats inside each house. The pads are rotated day and night, so they always have a warm place to go. We didnt want to use electric heating mats and were so grateful when we found this solution for helping the kitties stay warm.

19-11-2024If you are working with small kittens who need added heat, this product is a life saver! Heating Pads are dangerous due to the electrical cords - I know as I just recently had a kitten electrocuted who was chewing on cord for radio - she survived but spent 3 weeks in ER and has permanent damage and life time seizure meds. These are perfect to heat up and put in with young kittens or cats - we use them for outdoor adoption days when the weather is brisk and we want to showcase our cats and kittens for adoption! LOVE THIS PRODUCT! Lambertville Animal Welfare - Lambertville NJ

> 3 dayI gave these a “1” because the covers fell apart at the seams after a couple washings. I have one I bought 5 years ago whose cover is still perfect but these 3 new SnuggleSafe covers are poorly made. Disappointed in the workmanship.
