Perhaps unfair of me to compare these to my 30+ year old HD540 Reference, I gave up after 2 days, a colleague bought them off me.

These are accurate open back headphones with excellent rendition of various sound sources. The pads are comfy but they do need careful positioning first time so as not to directly touch your ears - common to many headphones however! The sound staging is breath-taking with nuances that the most critical audiophile would be impressed with. Being open-back, you get a very rich but not pumpin bass - most pleasing! Im not using these for gaming much - theyre more for music pleasure - but Ive noticed some greatly nuanced in the distance sounds that really add atmosphere. I never heard any of these sounds on my old phones! Wowza!

These headphones were miles above the computer headset headphones. I paired it up with a boom mic and it is the best gaming headset you can get for the price. You will not regret buying these amazing headphones.

If you love open back headphones, youd be a fool not to buy this. Look for it on sale for $120. Love the suspension headband. Replaced my old Sennheisers. Im not some crazy hifi audiophile, I just love good headphones for music and Zoom meetings. Just know you cant wear these in public if youre not familiar with open back design, youll disturb people.

No puedo compararlos con otros auriculares similares, pero creo que suenan muy bien sobre todo teniendo en cuenta que los compré por menos de 100 euros. Tenía unos Sennheiser hd 4.50 Bluetooth para ver películas y estos estan a años luz por delante en calidad de sonido, inmersión y sobre todo comodidad. Para música también están muy bien. Yo los tengo conectados a un Topping Dx3Pro y el sonido me parece muy bueno. A veces los agudos tienden a la estridencia, pero es algo puntual. Los graves son profundos pero nada molestos y los medios muy correctos.

I purchased the Fidelio X2HR headphones at the current price of $148.99 having just missed out on the recent discounted price of about $115. Thats fine though because these headphones would be great value even at $200. The frequency response is not flat but I would still characterize these as neutral/balanced sounding headphones. The bass emphasis is very moderate, probably just enough to compensate for the open back design. The treble emphasis also doesnt make the X2HR overly bright or harsh, contributing instead to a more airy presentation. Another great characteristic is that these dont sound like headphones, more like listening to speakers in a moderately sized room. I would describe these as a fun set of headphones that make well recorded music very enjoyable to listen to.

With everyone working from home these days, I needed a headset for my meetings. These could sometimes go on all day, so comfort is a must. I wanted something with quality sound performance that I could expand with a mic for meetings. This was the best option. Theyre fantastic.
