PHILIPS Fidelio X2HR Over-Ear Open-Air Headphone 50mm Drivers- Black

First off, I bought these as new however I received what appears to be an opened box or refurbished item (box came ripped, tape at bottom were cut already and the cords were out of place)... Not really happy about that since I was expecting a new item!

First putting the headphones on, it feels really comfortable. Unfortunately, after prolonged use, I do start to get a headache. Hopefully as I continue to wear them they will not continue to squeeze as tightly on my head.

Jai pu comparer ce casque au Senheiser 560 S. Ce dernier avait une meilleure bande passante et une meilleure définition mais il me serrait trop la tête au bout de 20 minutes... Le confort de ce Philips est extraordinaire, je le garde deux à trois heures sur la tête à écouter de la musique. Il a une bonne définition générale même si jai pu entendre quil devenait un peu brouillon sur de la musique complexe : grands ensembles orchestraux. Sur le Rock, Pop et Jazz cest du pur bonheur...Et jécoute essentiellement de la musique classique : grands ensembles orchestraux...

The flimsy plastic hinge pin broke and sheared off of the hinge during use. Attempting to get support from Philips was a nightmare, my simple RMA inquiry ticket was reportedly escalated, I then had the pleasure of waiting an entire month for Philips to get back to me with the following:

These are excellent headphones. They have an exciting sound signature with a slightly v -shape frequency response. The mildly enhanced bass is deep, reminiscent of planar magnetic performance. The bass is also well defined with little bleed into the midrange. The midrange is certainly not forward but is clear and the treble region is sweet with no trace of sibilance. The headphones compete with other much more expensive products. Highly recommended.

Le cuffie sono di una comodità estrema e non si sente affatto il peso di queste ultime, la qualità del suono è ottima, prevalente sugli alti, mancano solo i sub-bass, ma pressappoco neura. Migliorabile con un EQ, brillano soprattutto nella musica strumentale, ma si adattano ad ogni genere.

With the new model, X3HR available, the older one X2HR is enormous value/price. Very balanced, yet pleasant sound of all gengres, especially classical and jazz music. I use it together with Creative SXFi amplifier and the hearing experience is almost perfect.
