I have bought more philips hue bulbs than i ever imagine i would, and i think i made a good decision. While the bulbs always struck me as a little dimmer than expected, the colours and functionality (take zigbee options when available), are just unbeatable. Great product overall, i just hope they were not as pricy.

Not quite what I expected. There not the correct lights for running my entertainment set up like I thought. Purchased hue play considering light strips. But easy set up lots of colors to choose from quite expensive for what they do though

I was angry that this came without instructions and then, when I went to set it up, my router blew out (It was 2 years old). So this was an expensive setup! I called customer service and could not understand or get a word in edgewise with the agent. It was all very frustrating. Also, this came with 3 bulbs, but only 2 show up on the app...so I have to go through multiple steps to get the ones that I want turned on...on, minus the other one...its complicated... I have tried to disable/re-enable, but hue still only recognizes 2 lights. Cmon Philips!

The software is great, but 1 of the 4 very expensive bulbs went out. OK, so this happens, but after going through the ridiculous list of hoops they still failed to warranty the bulb. This is shady business practices expected from a 3rd rate company. The whole point of spending more is have the product backed! STAY AWAY and just get other products for 1/4 the cost. WARRANTY HOOPS, chasing down pictures and explanation rather that simply providing the bulb to them, which was in perfect physical condition. In order to move forward, I need some additional information regarding the product and installation. - Photographs of the etching on the bulb and the date code - Photographs of the fixture with the power turned off and a picture of the inside of the socket - A copy of your register receipt, if available - Hours of operation per day - When was the product purchased - The application the product was used in (i.e. recessed can, table lamp, etc)

I love Phillips Hue! Although these bulbs are very expensive, these bulbs more than make up for the price. Being able to control and adjust brightness of these lights from bed is amazing! You can control the lights from the Hue app from outside of your home as well. I love the convenience and the only issue I ever had with a bulb was quickly addressed by Phillps Hue (they sent a new bulb for no cost).

These things are gorgeous when they decide to work. Pros -Alexa is amazing with them -cheap to run -colors are incredible! Cons -the hub has to have a hard connection, no wifi option that Ive found -synching them to my computer made the lights flicker on and off like crazy and the only way to stop it was to disconnect, unscrew them and hope it worked -the price is super high for a product that has almost no support

Bought these bulbs for a great deal! This is my first smart bulb purchase for white light and color. Playing around with the app is fun and I use this with Apple HomeKit. Being a gamer, i also sync these bulbs with the Razor apps on my PC to match my games with color which works great. My favorite part about these bulbs is the app. Easy to use and set up and the bridge that comes with the kit is simple to set up too. Overall I’m happy and the downside is the price. If you can find a deal like I did which was for $99 go for it.

Philips has been nagging me for a while to upgrade the app on my phone, and -- while youre at it -- get our new super duper hub, it is square. Well, with Samsung jacking everyone over on SmartThings, I figured I would go on and upgrade the Hue too. First, install the new hub. It is square. That is a big deal for some reason. The new hub is super-light, small piece of plastic. It will not stay put. The ethernet cable moves it. And, speaking of the ethernet cable, I was hoping I could remove the old hub and set the new hub in the same place. But NO!. Philips decided to 1) change the power connecter, and 2) rotate the ethernet connection, so I had to pull out the furniture, get behind where the old hub was, install the now power adapter, and twist the ethernet cable over. That was a chore. That cable had a little bit of tension in it, and the no-weight plastic hub promptly flipped over, putting the cable back to the position it was in with the old hub. Disconnect it, loosen up the cable, try again. OK, all that is working. Blue lights all on. To my great dismay, after installing the new app and the new hub, NO LIGHTS FOUND. Yep, first I thought I must have done something wrong (possible, even though Ive installed this and similar systems, but you never know). After checking and rechecking, I installed one of the new bulbs that came with the hub. Presto, 1 bulb in my house found and working. What about the rest? More checking. I power on every light in the house. Still no devices found. I try changing ZigBee channels. No go. Checking the Internet, Google the Oracle, and I found the Great Disappointment. The new hub does not talk easily to the old lights. Philips suggests going to each and every single light to find its serial number and typing in each of those serial numbers to help the poor new super-duper square hub find the legacy hue lights. What a waste of time and horrible design. If you are not totally invested in Hue, go to Panasonic. No hub required. Save yourself the headache and the failed designs of Philips. PHILIPS: you really screwed the pooch on this upgrade you forced out on everyone. Your inattention to design details is deplorable. Your near-complete lack of support for legacy bulbs is unacceptable. You could have done so much better.
