> 3 dayI have bought more philips hue bulbs than i ever imagine i would, and i think i made a good decision. While the bulbs always struck me as a little dimmer than expected, the colours and functionality (take zigbee options when available), are just unbeatable. Great product overall, i just hope they were not as pricy.

> 3 dayI thought the hub was DOA because I couldnt get it working on my router. The app would find the hub, but not connect in the next step. I tried android and IOS to no avail. I turned off all features, filters and firewalls, but nothing worked. I happen to have a backup Netgear router that I tried as a last ditch effort. Works great with the Netgear router. App found the hub and was able to get everything working... After the updates, I tried switching back, but it didnt work with updates either, so back to the older router. -1 star for compatibility -1 star for having to physically plug it into the router in 2020

> 3 dayThese lightbulbs work but the range from the hub is not very good. For instance, I wanted my garage lights to be automatic but they’re more than 50 feet from my router and through walls (obviously) so it doesn’t reach. You can install another bulb as a “repeater” to help extend the range but that didn’t work well for me.

> 3 dayI really dig these lights. I’ve upgraded all my rooms to Hue color bulbs now. I’ve also integrated them with my Google Home speakers and they’re great. Very convenient. They’re controllable by either Hue app or voice command thru Google Home. Two minor cons I have tho are 1) Google sometimes takes a few seconds to process the request/command, which can sometimes lead me to suspect the command won’t be carried out, prompting me to say the command again only to now see the previous command being already carried out. And 2) some colors aren’t correct. If I ask Google to make the lights pink, they actually look white. Or if I set both nightstands to the same specific scene, the two nightstands side by side look noticeably different. Aside from that, they’re pretty nifty.

> 3 daySince these are based on Zigbee, these lights work wonderfully, the colors look as good as any other current RGB bulbs and the white brightness is on par with other 800 lumen lights. If you do not intend to use the included hub (if you already have a hub or are using an Echo Plus or 2nd gen Show with built in hub) then you must first deregister the bulbs in the box with the hub in the box ( an easy 2 step process) once this is done the bulbs can be detected by any Zigbee enabled hub (the will not be detectable until you deregister them)
