Photo Impact Pro 13

I was very disappointed by this product because most of the effects are cheesy pencil-scratches and lame image distortions. The Cartoon feature is also lame because it doesnt outline for crap and you cant manipulate it easily. The only effect I like is Emboss, which lets you choose any solid color and the depth of embossing the pic to look like a metal plate. Other than that, I dont use it because the VicMan Photo Editor freeware I already had is much better and easier to use, has a Caricature plugin to manipulate pics, and its FREE - unlike the $70 this program costs! I shouldve just bled a few more $$$ for the real Photoshop, I guess...

Can not install. States serial number is invalid yet copying directly and rechecked serveral times. Garbage.

Be prepared to wait several days after receipt to be able to use the product. One must call support, stay on hold for 20+ minutes, then be told only (hidden) email support is available. Then wait at least 24-hrs for a response. Be prepared to email them a copy of your receipt. Only then , will you receive a useable serial number and be able to install.

Love it it is very easy to use .however it seems to slow down my computer that is why Ionly gave it 4 stars

Ive been using PI 11 since it came out. I upgraded to 13 pro when I got my new computer. There was a rebate and a load of extras included, so why not. One of the bonuses is a great slide show program, Memories on TV4. I spent two hours putting together a slide presentation and tried to put it on DVD (it has three options, including VCD). A window pops up calling for an unlock code to use that portion of the program. WHAT unlock code? Nowhere in the box, book, or install dvd does it have an unlock code. PI13 has the install code, but its a different number. Without the code, it defaults to the VCD which has good resolution and plays with many dvd players on the market (to that effect.)

Before I begin my review, I must state that I did not buy this product from Amazon.com. However, I feel so strongly about what happened to me that I decided to put a review on Amazon to give people a heads-up before they buy this product.

I found this software difficult to use and I am sorry I bought it.

Ive used Photo Impact since I started doing digital photos back about 2001. Joined the Pro Imaging Resource Center and took their Photo Impact Workshop to begin. ([...] This is a group of long time users who are very friendly, very helpful, and very experienced.

Ive been using this software for years and years, many versions prior. It has been able to do anything I needed with a quick and easy to use interface.
