Pickling Compound Sparex 2-1/2 lb Bag

I have been using sparex for a while and find it is always a dependable formula. It is nice to have it available in this larger size. It would be great if they could make a version that doesnt create crusty deposits on my pickling pot.

I put this in a wax warmer as I didnt have anything else around and only needed a tiny amount. It worked great for my soldering. I then used it to clean an antique silver compact that had black spots on it. I figured it couldnt hurt. To my surprise the black spots rubbed right off. Well, they are light brown now at least so I think I just need to leave it in longer, according to the experts. Dont get it on you because it hurts! Some got on my finger - ow. Lastly, like many have said, the bag was split and contents spilled into the box. I hope they start putting it in an extra bag.

Ive used this for 40 years. Tried other things that are not as good. Cleans the metal, brings the fine silver to the surface. Does it quickly. I use it in a crock pot on low heat.

Easy mixing instructions, good pickling agent. I would recommend this to anyone. I learned about it in my jewelry making class.

I use this quite a bit.. just becareful not to forget it and take care not to inhale the fumes.

The box was intact but the product had a tear in the bag. It was strewn all over the box and pouring out of the box flaps where it was not sealed. Now I have it all over my porch,floor, carpet and table. his product is acid and should have been properly bagged and supported with some filling I the box to keep it from sliding all over.
