Outside of lackluster brightness and contrast for a bright environment, this monitor is a dream on paper. 165Hz (144Hz adaptive sync) 2560x1440 with the black levels and lesser backlight bleed of a *VA LCD while maintaining the input delay of a faster IPS or slower TN panel. The higher overdrive settings are useless for how overaggressive the effect is, but outside of that this monitor seems like it could work for anyone. Unfortunately, its not all good. The first screen arrived intact. The packaging was just the monitor box and a cardboard sleeve that fit around it. Setting it up, there were no noticeable defects and the screen looked uniform on lighting. Turned the screen off and mounted it, only to turn it back on and... No signal. Maybe a cable? Swapped the power supply and DisplayPort cables around and same deal. Power supply LED goes from a solid green to period flashing when plugged into the monitor, indicating its shutting itself down automatically. Let the monitor sit unplugged for a day and tried it again. Turned on for a few seconds before going black, power supply again blinking to indicate a possible short. Probably a bad capacitor. The screen has to be replaced. Second monitor arrived with an extra box protecting the cardboard sleeve. It also had a flat piece of styrofoam fitted between the front of the display and the inner box, which was oddly absent from the first monitor. Set up and plugged in, it worked, although this one had a dark smudge over 7-9 pixels in the lower half of the screen. It looks like dirt caught between the panel and cover, but its barely noticeable on anything but a solid bright background and just looks like the screen needs cleaning. I can live with that. At least theres no dead pixels. Until today, over a week after I first plugged it in. Suddenly theres two dead pixels stacked vertically just right of the center of the screen and it shows up in everything I do. Now Im wondering if that supposed dirt caught under the cover isnt actually the sign of some horrible defect and whether or not I can expect more pixels to go bad just weeks into use. I get that pixels can die over time, but this short of a window is ridiculous. So now I get to return another screen and hope Amazon doesnt take it upon itself to ban me for not throwing away hundreds of dollars on defective or broken products. This screen would be a great one if it arrived with only minor blemishes, but Im two of two in with one screen DOA and the other showing signs of serious deterioration only days into use. It might be beyond a smaller company like Pixio, but monitor manufacturers should start implementing pixel perfect options. I would have payed extra to avoid these headaches from the outset. Update: Changed review from two to three stars due to the third model working so far without error or obvious fault. Even though the screens arent the epitome of hardware with their sub-144Hz pixel refresh speeds that lead to some blurriness with moving text, overaggressive overdrive ghosting effects, and inherent LCD faults like backlight bleed and black levels that are far from perfect, they are a solid 4-4.5/5 if you dont end up with a string of bad eggs like I did. For now Im leaving it at 3/5 due to the implications tied to the majority of monitors sent my way being defective. Hopefully my experience was a fluke and the vast majority of buyers avoid sharing my frustration.

Used as a temporary monitor between omen 1080 to 1440 monitors and well worth the money. Monitor has great option features like crosshair built in, different color settings and presets and plenty of hdmi and dp ports to plug all your gaming consoles into one. Would be one of my go to monitors for 1080. Also always remember to go into the settings and manually set to monitors optimal htz level. It defaults to 60htz for every pc. Don’t hesitate to buy!

Pretty good quality overall, but the light bleed (atleast on my unit) is god awful. Its mostly only an issue with dark backgrounds but i can still notice the bleed on the bottom left corner pretty much 90% of the time regardless of what Im doing. Other than that it seems well made and has a good picture.

Ive had this monitor for about a year now and I haven’t had any problems it works great and does as advertised, Ive even overclocked it before (I dont recommend even if you have a good monitor). needless to say its an awesome monitor for the price. it comes with a built in speaker and for a monitor Im not even gonna bash it. if I had a friend who needed a monitor for cheap i would 100% recommend this monitor.

I just got this PX243 monitor a few days ago (October 2022). There are no dead pixels, and no defects except for some tiny physical aberration right in the middle of the monitor. At first I thought it was a dark pixel, but I can feel some tiny physical issue there. Fortunately, this issue is probably 1-2 pixels in size and only shows up (light grey) on white. As I write this review I can see it right above where Im typing. I did not ding it after receiving it. This is why Ive rated this 4/5. All the HDMI/DP ports function for my needs (60Hz to 3 computers), but I have tested 165Hz to my gaming PC. It works fine. I will consider keeping that in place. One thing I have no idea if its an issue or not, is related to scrolling text in a dark mode Windows 10 Settings panel. When I scroll, all of the text effectively becomes invisible until I stop scrolling. Default font, etc. I do have brightness on the monitor turned all the way down. But on my older Dell 2410 (with brightness down), when I scroll the text remains fully visible. I have no idea if this can be tuned. I think this is due to the fact its a VA panel. It seems like the black color of the Windows Dark Mode Theme is partially to blame. Ubuntu uses more greys for its dark mode, and the issue is not as apparent there. Audio output is fine. I have no issues with it, but Im not an audiophile. I dont notice any pops or noise. I mounted this to a VESA stand. Notably, the standard VESA screws provided (M4-12) are too long for my VESA mount. I had to buy M4-10 machine screws to fit to the VESA mounting plate. Otherwise the monitor was loose. Yes, it is a VESA mount. No, I did not do anything wrong when connecting it. I will update this review over time.

Windows 10 inherently has scaling issue when you have a big sized monitor/high resolution like this one in a multi-monitor setup. My text and overall windows toolbar/apps text were blurry and shadowed, fiddling Windows cleartype settings didnt do much, not even the scaling to beyond 100%. I had to apply the registry hack (also there is a tool that does the job i.e. Windows 10 DPI fix ) and after that, the monitor and windows 10 danced together nicely. Texts are sharp and clear, toolbar menu is all nice as it should be. This is not this monitors fault evidently. For normal desktop use, you wont find it much different than your regular office monitor but its when you are gaming, thats when it shines gloriously. Gears 5 is much more vivid that before on my old LG monitor. The only thing Im missing on this monitor is the ability to tilt and swivel. That is a basic necessity these days for a monitor, I hope the manufacturer will incorporate this in their future models. Overall happy with my purchase. Now back to my Gears 5 mission. :)

Its a really nice monitor with some minor flaws. It has a bright and colorful panel. I like how nice the image looks and the colors pop, and while I can sometimes see some slight smearing and ghosting in dark scenes of certain games and movies its not a deal breaker. I read online there are better, more expensive options but for my budget I am very pleased. Heres hoping that it will provide many years of use. The only quirk I encountered was learning how to bring up the OSD menu when changing video sources. If you only hook one device youll never have to deal with this, but if you do then switching sources is not as straightforward as it should be. It is also somewhat confusing should the monitor fall asleep. Just remember to leave the input selection settings on Auto Select and to press UP on the control stick to invoke the source selection menu. The monitor I got appears to have the latest firmware, which uses an updated (smaller) menu. I can activate Freesync in all refresh frequencies (including 165Khz), which I heard from online video reviews was not possible in earlier firmare versions. Now that I had the monitor for a while Ive settled down to lowering the brightness a little bit from its default setting. The high refresh rate is a treat but what won me over was the next step in resolution. I am really digging 1440p at 32 inches. Love the extra real state on my desktop. 2K, 4K, and 1440p or higher streaming content on youtube and Netflix shines on this monitor. If you can grab one go for it. You wont be disappointed.

Its a great screen with anti-glare. Runs on a 5v battery pack, has thru port charging, Hdmi and usb-c. It even has sterio speakers with descent quality for their size. We used it on a long cross country flight to play movies and retro arcades so the little one would not try to handle the phones to get the screen closer to watch. Its perfect. I hang it on the back of my seat so the kid can watch stuff while on long road trips. Just plug it in to the phone and i can controll it without even turning around. It comes with a good quality power block and all the cables, except mini hdmi to mini hdmi. thats no big deal cause thats an uncommon setup now a days .
