> 3 dayAesthetically pleasing? Yes. You stop being excited about how great it looks after playing it for a couple of hours and seeing all the flaws. Seriously, there is no sense of accomplishment to this game period. Whoever developed it mustve just went, Hey, lets make this game easy for idiots. Dont bother grinding levels, you dont need it. The game tells you where to go and what to do. Cut scenes galore. I am also really irritated with how it tells you even what moves to USE in battle. Its always been about trial and error, and memorizing from experience how to battle. Besides isnt the whole point to pokemon to become a master trainer? You cant grow as a person much like you cant get better at a videogame if everything is handed to you on a silver platter. Now, the call for help feature....is such a tedious waste of time. Most people are not going to farm shinys for hours on end. And, as far as I can see, thats the only purpose it serves because I can kill everything just fine. It just eats up more of my day when my pokeball fails and another one drops from the sky and tells you that you cant throw it if two are on the field. If the island challenges were a little more difficult, you might actually get some satisfaction from obtaining a z-crystals. The game even gives you dire hits to waste on totem pokemon if you suck bad enough to need it. Your rival in the game is a joke and Gary would be ashamed of him. I read reviews of performance issues but I have a New 3ds so I cant really bi*ch about that. Festival plaza is super pointless other than the daily drawing where you can win an item. Poke pelago is actually implemented seemingly well. Honestly, I think this game is for children only. Teens and adults that are long time fans of the series are going to have much to gripe about. I see a lot of 5* reviews and just assume those people must be the ones you see at work or school that smile all the time and never get gloomy. Overall, its an okay game with untapped potential. I think its definitely a game people should try though your mileage may vary.

Greater than one weekPros: -Moons game clock is 12 hours apart from Sun, its night time in game if you play in the daylight -Totem Pokemon will keep calling for backup, learn to prioritize -No more grid movement, you get to move in a fluid 360 degrees -Lunala, and other version exclusives only exist in Moon -No more need for HM slaves! Cons: -Theres no more 3D, its only present in a small mini game -The battle A.I. flubs sometimes Overall Opinion: This is one of the best installments of Pokemon so far, there are many changes and new features that feel sleek and easy to play around with. If youre considering buying it, stop considering and do it already! You wont regret it.

> 3 dayIt is great to find all of the 3DS Pokémon games on Amazon below the original retail price, and not have to pay scalper prices for something that has over eight million copies floating around. World Edition games are USA region games that have been packaged by Nintendo for smaller international markets. Dont be scared to buy it if you live in the United States, Canada or Mexico (North America). Though I would recommend that you buy Ultra Moon since it is the same game and story but improved (like Platinum is to Diamond).

> 3 dayThe game is definitely a low point for the Pokemon franchise. Dont get me wrong, I LOVE mega-evolution and Z-moves, I think the Alolan forms are 100% wonderful, I think Team Skull are the best antagonists since team rocket, and the Ultra Beasts are cool. I love so much in this game, but I still consider it basically unplayable. The core gameplay mechanic appears to be a mini game where you try to escape from conversations with random characters that you dont care about by pressing A as rapidly as you can. This mini game is repeated over and over again. I put 400 hours into White 2, another 200 into Y (which had similar problems as this one, but not as bad), and at least 100 into Omega Ruby (which despite the time I spent was far superior to X&Y), but I havent been able to make myself finish this one. Aside from my issues with the random cutscenes and monologues that the game is filled with, the actual game is very very easy. It feels like no trainer has even 3 pokemon in their party, and there are random people offering to heal you every ten feet. Dungeons (such as they are) are very short and nearly completely linear.

> 3 dayim on the second island so this will be a bit incomplete the new pokemon designs and animations are fairly good. the new improvements are either good or bad the hand-holding in the game is a lot more noticeable and would help newcomers jump in or annoy people looking for the least bit of a challenge. i just dont see the reason for a destination point in the game. the camera is a lot better than x/y however there is no 3d feature and i would have liked to be able to move the camera at times as well. the new pokemon gang team is fairly good the animations giving to them are funny and give them a sense of being. all i got so far may add to this.

Greater than one weekIn my opinion, Sun and Moon have done a lot of things right, but ruin it by forcing you through what seems like a game-length tutorial. Ive been playing since RBY, so this is very frustrating - to the point I completely stopped playing for a week and wouldnt have continued if my GF didnt keep trying to get me to. I would give this game 3 stars, but my GF loves it and doesnt mind anything Ive griped about, so she would give it 5. Overall 4 stars from us. P.S. Ive beaten the game now and restarted (custom starters run), and its much better now that I know what to expect. Its not as grating as it used to be.

> 3 dayThis is quite possibly the best game to come out of the series since some of the originals. The story has some stumbles but overall has some rather interesting twists. The difficulty of the old games, while not back, is certainly looking to make a comeback as this is the most difficulty Ive had since my original Gold playthrough and Whitneys infamous Miltank. The PokePelago and removal of HM for Ride Pokemon are certainly welcome additions to the series and serve as a nice point to aid new players while giving veterans something to come back for (pelago) and fixing an issue many have had for years (Ride). Overall the game is technically well made, with only VERY obvious slowdown when in double or Totem battles due to the sprites on screen (though Ive heard this is better, but not gone, with the NEW 3DS models I cant confirm as I only own a regular XL). I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get into the games or a veteran looking to come back, I certainly enjoyed the 33 hours I put in just beating the storyline.

Greater than one weekGame Freak needed to release a new Pokemon game to reinvigorate the series, and Pokemon Moon is that game. Ive been fan since the beginning so I was a little skeptical about the change up from gym leaders to island hoping, but the experience is still 100% Pokemon adventure. The graphics a step in the right direction with fully a animated protagonists and NPCs as opposed the classic big headed sprites of previous games. Keeping with clothing customization from Pokemon X/Y was a smart move as well, especially now that you can see the details much more. I can keep describing how great it is but you really need to experience it for yourself. Again, its not your typical 8 gym, catch legendary, then fight the elite four adventure, but it is definitely worth your time.

Greater than one weekFor most of my life, the Pokemon series has had a huge influence on how I spend my free time. From playing pokemon Leaf Green late into the night on weekends, to now playing Pokemon Moon while procrastinating on my college essays. I am happy to say I have added this to my collection. Pros: Pokemon - The usual formula for the most part. Nostalgia value, and replayability as per the norm for the Pokemon series. Deep Story - Most Pokemon games of yesteryear did not have a deep story. Only up until the last two generations did we have major story arcs and prologue style after stories. Cons: Lots Of Change - If you arent a fan of change, you might not enjoy this. They changed things up with this edition of the series. Gyms are no more as you complete trials rather than gain badges. This is the main difference, and one I dont personally find bad, but it can be a dealbreaker for those diehard Pokemon fans. Lag - If you do not have the New 3DS system, you will experience slight drops in performance in certain battle situations. Its not a big issue to me, and one Im looking to fix by buying a New 3DS system in the future. Over all, I am loving the game so far. It is worth your time buying for yourself, your children, or your grandchildren. It is great for all ages, and truly a wonderful gaming experience. 89/100 Packaging and Amazon Purchase Review: Arrived safe and sound in a bubble wrap envelope. The estimated time was spot on, and in the end I am 200% happy with this purchase.

> 3 dayGreat new entry in the Pokemon series. As a long-time fan, it is nice that they are still improving the games with each iteration-- it would be really easy for them to put out a sub-par product and still get sales. I have already put ~120 hours into this game (about 30 or so in the story with oodles of time in the post-game), but even with that time investment I will buy it again for the Nintendo Switch and play through again :P. Some of the great quality of life improvements over the previous games: No more HMs Previously, you had to make room on your Pokemon for story-based moves (and have specific types of Pokemon in your party), but this is no longer the case! Great story The story in this game is one of the best in the series, possibly the best (over B/W), though this will probably differ somewhat based on personal taste UI Improvements If you ever had to look up type matchups to see if a move was Super Effective/ Not Very Effective, you are in luck: after you have battled a Pokemon, your move effectiveness is always displayed on your moves in the lower screen. IV Judging all Pokemon in your PC boxes at any PC This is huge for anyone that breeds Pokemon: after unlocking it, you can see the IVs for any Pokemon in your PC (which streamlines the IV checking process significantly). EV display in Summary screen This is a slight step back (as you could normally see this in the bottom screen at any time), but when you press the Y button on a Pokemon Summary it shows you the current EV investment for the Pokemon (with sparkles if a stat is maxed). It is nice having the same UI for the IVs and EVs in the same spot. Basically, if you have ever liked Pokemon (or just want to try a fun game), try this out. It is totally worth it. If you are thinking of trying another Pokemon game after Pokemon GO, you will not be disappointed-- the actual gameplay here is so much better. Just buy this and a fitbit :P.
