> 3 dayUsed this with the Wemo Maker to tell me when my garage door is open or closed. This is much heavier duty than I need for my home garage door - looks like it would hold up well in a commercial application.

> 3 dayWorks great, easy install. Using it with an ESP8266 micro to control and sense garage door open and closure. Used a MCP23017 I2C chip and a 5V relay top operate door and the same MCP23017 to sense when the door is actually closed. Could not be happier with the end result.

> 3 dayI bought this to go with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B6RZ7MM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, I use a vera edge to monitor the sensor and open and close the garage door, I had to extend the wires on the sensor so they would reach my garage door opener where I mounted the Mimolite, the sensor is mounted above the garage door and they work great together

> 3 dayI bought this door switch for a roll-up door on my shed/shop. I connected it to an ecolink z-wave door/window sensor so I could alarm my shed. I was having some trouble figuring out how to put a sensor on my roll up door on our new shed and I came across this switch. I figured Id give it a shot since Amazon has a great return policy and the price was low. It worked like a charm, I wired it to an ecolink z-wave sensor, mounted the sensor to the wall, screwed the switch to the floor of the shed and mounted the magnet portion to the bottom of the roll up door. Now, I get an alert (or alarm) whenever the door is opened.

> 3 dayGreat replacement, the holes were closer than the Honeywell switch it replaced, so I had to drill new hole in concrete.

> 3 dayI wasnt sure quite what to expect from this as a DIY project, but these worked out great. Theyre designed to be mounted on the floor, but after some testing with a multimeter, I determined that the orientation of the magnet to the sensor isnt all that important. As long as the magnet is within about 2 inches of the switch, the switch closes and I read a short on the lead wires. I went ahead and took the magnet off the steel angle-bracket it shipped with and just mounted the magnet directly to the top of my garage door. Then I wired the sensor side to the garage wall next to the magnet. With that wired into my security system, everything is now up and running and Im a happy camper! I cant think of anything bad to say about these. They did what I wanted them to do right out of the box.
