Potter Amseco ODC-59A Overhead Door Switch

Excellent product, well made, worked great. I used it with a raspberry pi to make a MQTT garage door opener for home assistant.

Added to a wireless sensor, works great.

This thing wired up in a few seconds and provided a much more reliable easy to mount solution for my garage door sensor. I had a cheap plastic white sensor wired up first and it was a pain to get to reliably recognize and would also keep shifting and getting dislodged. This thing comes with a serious bracket and plenty of ways to confidently mount. Plus the most important part, it has a very generous tolerance on the sensor, so placement is nowhere near as precise as the little cheap plastic magnetic sensors you can get in bulk

Works great, easy install. Using it with an ESP8266 micro to control and sense garage door open and closure. Used a MCP23017 I2C chip and a 5V relay top operate door and the same MCP23017 to sense when the door is actually closed. Could not be happier with the end result.
