> 3 dayI live in my van, so getting power from outlets to charge my batteries is pretty important. I bought this because at the time I had access to an outlet. It worked as expected. It was a little louder than I wanted, but then again, I am in a VERY small space, and I am in very close proximity in the same space as this, so my experience is going to be a bit skewed as a result. But, given what its job is, and the power levels its dealing with, I cant blame this at all for that. It needs to cool itself. I have since lost the ability to use this as that outlet is no longer accessible to me, but for the time I was able to use this, it worked flawlessly. I plan to use it more in the future.

> 3 dayIm rather pleased with this unit. I bought the 55amp version to replace the Magnetek 6345 (45 amp) converter in my 1996 Fleetwood. I pulled out the charger/converter version and added an outlet under the fridge to the side of where the original was. I could have cut the cord off but this was easier for me. Im planning to use it to charge a pair of 105 amp hour AMGs and I think it will do fine for that. With my clamp meter I was getting 20 plus amps into the battery I currently have which is about what I would expect. When its going Im getting 13.7 volts in the motorhome which is again what I would expect. I havent attempted to turn other items in the coach on and use the clamp meter to see what the most it puts out is but I see nothing to suggest less than the rated limits. I will update this if something changes as Im about to go on a 2 month trip. The one thing I will say as it wasnt easy to find online. If youre replacing the Magnetek as I did you will want to run the blue wire hooked up to the 12v fuse panel into the 12v lug the red wire is connected to.

> 3 dayThe converter arrived on time and worked perfect right out of the box! My motorhome batteries were low so it ramped right up to 14.6 volts, stayed there for about 2 hours, then dropped to 13.8 volts for about 4 hours then went to 13.2 volts and has maintained there ever since. The next day I turned on the furnace all of the lights and both tvs and it held steady at 13.3 volts. It has only been a few days, but at this point I couldnt be happier with this Power Max Converter! Here is the link to a pdf that shows how to install it, that was easy to follow and worked perfectly. Ive had it now for a couple of months and it is still performing great! [...]

> 3 dayInstall was easy. Mounting holes were same spacing but 1/2” wider then old one. No biggie. You do hear the fan kick on and off if all is quiet in motor home. (But how often is that). The fan should allow for longevity. I like the constant even voltage, and keeping my batteries charged. It does still work if battery is removed.

Greater than one weekThis was exactly what I needed. Easy to install, I’m not a very “handy” gal and was able to change it out myself.
