Greater than one weekThere is a surprising amount of control for this radio. The receive is extremely sensitive and the high cut filter works really well. For mobile use, the antenna noise limiter and noise blanker are really, really, good. However, I only used it mobile once. It is now a home unit that is powered with a computer power supply. 30 watts AM peak, 56 watts ssb, and just under 40 watts FM are the power measurements into a dummy load. I am not authorised for AM, FM, LSB use on 10 meters because of my lowly license. The RF gain control helps tremendously during noise atmospheric condition days. It is not merely a secondary volume. The roger beep time comes in really handy for 10 meter USB. I set it to 50 millisecond duration and I no longer have to end sentences with, over, which I hate doing with a passion. With such a short beep set, it does not annoy anybody and It still does the job of removing the, over, from the end of sentences. 12 meters is only receive for me. My lowly license does not cover 12 meters. CW is smooth with no harsh buzzing or hissing, like some CB/amateur radio combinations are. Speaking of CB, there is supposed to be a conversion for CB that can be done to this radio. It may have something to do with the data port, I am not sure. I already have a CB. I highly recommend this radio for anybody. You can be a complete novice, like me, or hold the highest license your nation offers, it is the radio for everyone. Even if you do not have a license, it is an excellent receiver for 10 and 12 meters. From what I have heard, with a small conversion, it will even receive 11 meter CB, (probably not transmit). Some business bands can also be picked up, and the end of portion shortwave. It is not a full HF transceiver, but what a radio for £200!

> 3 dayI really like this radio. I havent yet found a bad thing to say about it. I have been a amateur radio operator for a long time (early 70s) this is the nicest radio I have owned for use in a mobile Small and goes well with the instrument panel(because of the ability to change colors) Great bang for the buck!

> 3 dayOk, while technically it is sold as a 10 meter export radio, it is a great CB once converted. There are more of these being used as a CB than 10 meter, the radio is made to do this. There is no law that prevents this conversion, an FCC rule only. Not law. It is worse to drive over the speed limit.

> 3 dayWhen I got this radio I wasnt impressed with the power. Dont get me wrong, it does what it says it does, but the modulation and swing was lost getting those numbers, and swing is what I was wanting. I like it over my Stryker 955, Galaxy 959 and my 148. I took it to my local shop and removed the mod limiter and had it tuned to not be a complete splatter box and now I LOVE it. Its almost doing the same as my barefoot Stryker 490 if I run the President with a KL203. There are plenty of YouTube videos on this radio for real feedback.
