was looking for a replacement for a HR2510. New radios seem to be well junk. (china) Picked up one of these after a good deal on a 980 radio. Even though it has surface mount parts, the board seems pretty heavy duty if ran in a big truck. Stock mic sounds pretty good but does have the funky 5 pin the new Pres/Uniden radios have. The recieve is great, a very close second to the ol HR2510s of the past. NB/ANL work as they should. HighCut is very nice when running SSB. Yes the echo (adjustable but takes some time) does ok and the tunable rogerbeep tone and time can make it more identifiable i suppose if into that sort of thing. Mine is in a pickup truck. It does do 30 watts out of the box on SSB PeP. am works well, i believe it does a clean 20 to 22 pep with upto a 10 watt dead carrier. After a few weeks i did put it on the bench and did a slight tune and the radio can do upto 55 pep on ssb and stay cool. The chassis is all aluminum and it did get warm but not hot. I left it to peak around 48 watts in the mobile running around 13.5 to 13.8v dc. Custom half and half 104in whip on the tool box. If i can hear them i can talk to them.

A glich in order but all is well. Seller is good to deal with. I would buy again .

This is the next step from the HR2510/2600/Lincoln. The Lincoln II + has far more features and everything has adjustability through the menu. 50 watts on SSB is plenty with a decent antenna for this coming solar cycle maximum. Under/over voltage protection AND SWR protection is a huge plus! The stock microphone is designed for the radio and has good TX audio. This version of the radio Is not as easy to use as the older radios and is not for beginners. This radio is designed for amateur radio frequencies and operated by amateur radio operators. 73

Once again President has produced a great 10 and 12 meter transceiver with improvements in mic audio and receive audio to name a few.The pc is all smt and is a sight to behold. For those of you that are interested in freq. expansion,there is a little more procedure involved, ie. installing a 1/2 watt 1K Ohm resistor on the vacant spot on the pc board,and then it can be field programmed or by using the data port to pc and software. So with this little bit of info might add icing on the cake for those of you who prefer this kind of thing. Anyway you slice it,this rig is a five star choice in my book and it has a lower price tag as well. Get one for yourself and see. You want be disappointed.Sincerely,Edgar.

I havent used radio too much for 10 and 12m bands havent opened yet in NW part of county. I like all the functions the radio has although programing can be a little difficult for repeater use.

Nice radio, lots of features. Audio section has a lot of idle noise.
