> 3 dayI was amazed at this keyboard. The build quality is amazing. Keys are very responsive and the braided cable is a nice touch. If youre looking for a gaming keyboard I highly recommend this one RGB and the programs are easier to use.

18-11-2024So prior from this purchase i had the ascent one 60% keyboard. to be honest i really didn’t like the asceny one since it gave me many problems like bad response time and occasional lags. So i bought this as a replacement since i didnt want to spend $200 on a keyboard and because i plan on buying a nicer keyboard during the holidays. And let me tell you, straight out of the box you can feel that it has a good weight to it. the keycaps as well is a matte finish. the optical brown switches are way quieter than the gateron brown switches i had with my asceny one keyboard. the th61 also comes with tools that u can use for ur keyboard. overall i give this a solid 10/10 since the price itself is a steal for the quality of the board.

> 3 day***This is my first mechanical keyboard*** and I love it. Of course, I may just be in love with the blue switches. The keyboard works perfectly fine. After 48 hours of use my only gripes are that since Im using this on my Mac I cant download the software to edit the keyboard easily. Initially I was a little bummed about that because I wasnt a big fan of the lights, but they arent distracting when Im using it and its a bit nifty that itll highlight the keys with alternate functions when you hit the fn key. The other gripe is something Im not sure whether is an issue stemming from my inability to easily customize the keys or whether this is a problem throughout. Ive found when attempting to use the arrow keys for YouTube controls, scrolling through in-game chats, other various non-traditional menus I cant seem to get them to work properly. Beyond the arrow keys bug and the lack of Mac software, I havent found any issues with the product. P.S. If youre concerned about the size of it, it doesnt take very long to adjust to it if youve ever used the apple keyboard without and numpad.

> 3 dayThis keyboard is awesome and has so much potential thus the reason I am giving 4 stars. The Software used for programming and the function keys need a bit more work to iron out. As for the software it is not very intuitive or user friendly to sat the least. Takes a bit of messing around with it to learn how to make it do what you want. As for the function keys the only real problem i found with these is that the arrow keys do not work as expected. i managed to get them to work like they should by reprograming /? key to caps lock since i have no real use for caps lock. Once i did this i mess with some stuff and have no idea what i did but the arrow keys started working as i wanted them to so i said cool and left it as it was. Since then it has been awesome and i use it more now than my G910 as i puchased this keyboard to use in my reclining gaming chair with a Azeron game pad and MMO mouse. i could not be more happy with it now that it works how i want and i highly recommend. I will be more than willing to work with Punkston on their software UI if they would like to reach out to me. All and all love it has be come part of my everyday use at my pc.

> 3 dayIf someone had bought this keyboard for me. I would never believe they paid so little for it. Ive had this keyboard for about a month and have used it heavily. For work, study, and fun. It hasnt let me down yet. I love that it is completely customizable from key caps to the switches. It is really sensitive in a good way. I needed a smaller keyboard for my small hands. Regular keyboards caused a lot of strain in my hands. I get no strain with this keyboard. I love that even though they are missing dedicated keys, they have created alternatives that work great. I do use the arrow keys a lot when Im working in spreadsheets. Even though you have to press a key to use the arrow keys, its very easy to get used to. I really couldnt be happier.

> 3 dayJust a yummy little board for $20 I got the hotswappable keyboard with yellow switches. It’s just so good, I’ve gotten keyboards that are triple the price and don’t feel this good. It’s solid, it makes nice noises when you type on it. 60% is small, but you’ll get used to it quick. It’s great that it’s hotswapable so you have room to grow if you want. But keep in mind that they are optical keys so your switch choices are limited. But the default yellows are SOOOOO good. Lighting options are fine. I’m not wanting in that department. The body of the board is rock solid. I’m hyped to eventually kit this out with new switches and key caps, but for now it’s perfect!

> 3 dayAlright, here me out anyone that reads this: this thing is insane value at $25-30 dollars with the coupon while this review was written (was ~$25). The optical black switches are nice and have a nice OOTB smoothness. BUT, these switches RATTLE around the plate like crazy!!! That is not even factoring in the stem wobble too. Literally pick up the keyboard and gently shake it and it will sound like like a rattle shaker. You can also gently move the switch top housing and see it wiggle around the metal plate. These H&J switches seem to be based off of Kailh box housings and sport a larger housing overall. Never heard of that brand. I could not stand the switch top housing wobbling and swapped with Gateron browns I had lying around. No more switch housing rattle and also softly tactile. I also could not use my standard cherry switch opener or my kailh switch opener with those H&J switches. Meaning, you would need an Outemu style switch opener. I ended up using a flathead screwdriver to open one and peer inside. Regular looking switch otherwise. Beyond that, the plastic bottom casing does include case foam, though there is a gap for a battery and a slit in the bottom for Bluetooth/wireless for another PCB. You may want to add additional foam to decrease the hollowness when typing. Additionally, the stabilizers are actually factory lubed, and seem to be injected in between the housing with a viscosity close to Krytox 205g0/XHT-BDZ. Not bad. Still needs to be clipped to avoid any unwanted stab rattle, however. Luckily, these are plate mounted so they can be easily tested without disassembling the entire board. There is also a complete app made specifically for Punkston that allows for a variety of lighting modes( including the ones from the keyboard itself, per key reprogrammability, and macro function. Good job Punkston! Getting serious - if you intend to buy this, you need to know that these are optical switches only - standard mechanical switches WILL NOT FIT in this socket; this also means that your choices in hotswapability arent as wide. Though, Outemu and Gateron make a variety of optical switches online. There isnt really a better value for 60% keyboards at this low price point in stock on Amazon. Needs a lot of work, but you can definitely reach a good level of THOCCCC if you put the effort in. 3/5 for fairness and a good challenge for beginner keyboard enthusiasts.
