Greater than one weekI play many different games and its works well with most of them. But recently Ive been playing a rhythm game called Friday Night Funkin. When I go to hold down the notes, for less than a fraction of a second the keys stop registering which causes me to get a miss in the game and it almost makes it impossible for me to play. If you do not care about rhythm games, I would highly recommend this as it works well with everything else.

> 3 dayPositive: I love this keyboard. Right out of the package it has been super nice. I have used membrane keyboards all my life and finally decided to switch since i wasnt getting the reaction time i wanted in osu. feels great and is actually a little quieter than my membrane keyboard. Negative: I already have the razer headset so synapse was already downloaded. For some reason synapse wasnt recognizing the keyboard. I had to completely uninstall synapse for my pc to recognize it. I dont really mind it but some of the keys have their characters painted on rather than etched, so no light shines through. UPDATE 5/3/22: Cleaned the keyboard a few times to try to fix the repeated numbers and letters and it did nothing. The keyboard still repeats and sticks.

> 3 dayYoure not going to get a better deal for a quality keyboard when this is 50% off, as it is now. The Razer software is very easy to use (I changed the pause break button to be a mute button instead, the page up to be a volume up, page down to be volume down. and scr lk to be a button to mute microphones) Ive seen a couple reviews say you have to log in to software for the keyboard settings to work every time you boot your computer. That is fake news. The orange switches are very comfortable to type on as well. I truly liked my K55 keyboard, but I couldnt go back to it after having this. Much better for both typing and gaming. If youre concerned about the lack of a number pad you can buy one for cheap on Amazon as well (theres a nice one with blue switches for $16 as of typing this), while still having a much smaller footprint on your desk than a full size keyboard. The wrist rest is also very comfortable as long as you have the back stands up to elevate the keyboard (thats just my preference though).

> 3 dayThis is my 2nd mechanical keyboard. My first was loud clunky. This was an amazing switch. Worth every penny. With the synapse program I can control the brightness, which is great. I dont like it being super bright, so its just bright enough to read the letters well. That is actually my only complaint, that the letters and numbers are lit, but not the characters. It makes it difficult to see if I need to use a character I dont use often (The plus sign, for example). This keyboard comes with o-rings, which I am using as well. It does help dampen the sound a lot, but there is still a bit of a clicky sound. Which can suck when youre gaming with an open mic, but I havent received many complaints, as my gamer friends seem to like the sound.

Greater than one weekWhen I tell you this Keyboard is the best ive ever owned (or used for that matter) I make no exaggeration :D the lights arent overpowering, keys feel and sound great to the tap, only feedback would be to get a wrist cushion as the keys are quite tall and was odd to get used at the start. Have not used the muting elastics quite yet but would definitely purchase again in a heartbeat if the need arose!

06-06-2025Really superb all around keyboard. Price is great (I got it at $60), design is clean and not too in your face, which is welcome from Razer, build quality is solid, and quite pleased with the switches. The lettering looks really clean on the keyboard, and the backlighting is just right, not too bright or soft. Keyboard material, albeit seeming to be mostly plastic, still has a nice texture and premium feel to it. These Razer orange switches (brown equivalent) are wonderful and have made a noticeable difference for me when typing, both as a gamer and as a programmer. They are certainly an outright upgrade from the Outemu reds I had been using at my desk at home previously (I liked the smooth action but found I made a lot of mistakes with the low actuation force of the red switches), and Ill give them a slight edge in terms of personal preference for the softer switch action of the brown switch as opposed to the Cherry MX Blue switches I have in my keyboard at the office (currently not seeing much use, obviously). I am not ultra-sensitive to switch quality, I just prefer a keyboard with clean action and quality build, and after finally having given this style of switch a try I dont think I can go back. My only two *very minor* gripes are these: 1. Aesthetic from the side of the keyboard is a bit strange. The keycaps are very short in height and so the components underneath each key are visible, including the switch+switch housing. Seems like thats the aesthetic theyre going for, just not my personal taste, and its unnoticeable from above, which is where Im mostly seeing the keyboard from anyway. 2. Keyboard deck warped ever so slightly at one point so that it wasnt sitting flush with the desk. Not sure if this will resurface in the future, but I was able to unwarp it using raw man power (aka a very light bend back in the correct direction) and it has been sitting fine for over a week since I noticed the issue. These are not deal breakers in the slightest, just for others to be aware of when purchasing. Still love the keyboard, and certainly not worth subtracting a star.

> 3 dayLets start with the good. Build quality is solid. The feet, deck, and switches are all built to last and easy to keep clean. The white-only illumination is nice, I do not need a unicorn barfing a rainbow on every keystroke. The switches are quiet have a nice tactile bump, however I am not a mechanical switch connoisseur. The USB-micro cable is detachable/replaceable and braided which is a nice touch. Now the not so good. The secondary characters do not illuminate; for example the / is lit, but not the ?. I use an advanced form of hunt-and-peck that includes some touch (dont judge me), so this is occasionally an issue for me. The cable is USB-micro, not USB-c. Why? Now the bad. Remember how I said the switches are quiet (not silent)? Yeah, about that. There is no audible click, yet a few switches squeak (sarcastic yay!). And ALL the key presses make noise. Every damn one. It has been described as a Clydesdale on a cobblestone street and a box of Legos thrown down stairs. People know you are working. HARD. And will ask you to mute on conference calls. Or maybe ask you to pay attention. You will definitely have their attention when using this keyboard. You have been warned. All in all, I really LIKE this keyboard. Everyone I work with does not, I catch a lot of razzing and grief.

Greater than one weekThe biggest reason I like it is how perfectly it fits right on top of my 15 laptop so I dont have to use the cruddy laptop keyboard. The wrist pad stays exactly where it should stay, which covers up the touch pad on the laptop, but Id just as soon use my mouse anyway (a Razer DeathAdder V2). Together, the TKL keyboard and wrist pad fit on top of my open laptop as if they were made for it. To get the Razer keyboard and mouse working on my linux OS, I had to install both the open-source Razer Chroma Linux drivers and a linux program called Polychromatic, but both were fairly easy to install and straight forward with plenty of places online for instructions on downloading and installing. I did replace the USB cable it comes with, in spite of it seeming like a durable cable, partially because I didnt need such a long cable for my purposes, but mainly because I was afraid the cable would not last as long with it sticking straight out from the back of the keyboard and potentially rubbing against the laptop screen. I replaced the cable with a shorter cable and a right angle USB adapter. One thing that was slightly annoying is that the keyboard requires a Mini-B connector for the end of the USB cable that plugs into the keyboard instead of a USB-C or USB-A. This makes finding a suitable replacement for the cable should it one day be necessary just a little more difficult.

> 3 dayI love this keyboard! Before I bought this keyboard I was using a Blackwidow v3 mini hyperspeed and I love that keyboard. The form factor, buttery smooth switches and the weight even though its made out of plastic it almost didnt feel like it it definitely felt premium. To compare the two this keyboard feels much lighter and plastic feeling no heftiness to it really, but despite that man o man the switches here (silent linear) are pure gold also the space bar has no rattle on the sides or center like most big name gaming keyboards do, not sure if they added spacers and lubed the keys, but they mustve. Next, the magnetic wrist rest. Thats what drawn me towards this keyboard, I was looking for a magnetic leatherette wrist rest and boom razer didnt let me down comfy, soft and most important it seems pretty oil resistant(regarding skin oils). Take note, many here in the reviews say that the magnets arent strong enough, I would have to disagree with that, its legit perfect not sure why you would have to pry your wrist rest off of your keyboard, its strong enough to not move for intense games like comp fps. Its something that really brought this keyboard together. I would love to see this, though it most likely will never happen is adding this exact keyboard style with their hyperspeed tech (I would love this keyboard to be wireless). Also, added weight. Finally, modding this thing. Something I plan to add(but definitely not necessary for the average user)is EVA foam. That should help with any resonance which there isnt much at all. Also, razers doubleshot pbt keycaps.
