Coming from previously using a Razer Ornata Chroma, I was looking to make the full transition to a mechanical keyboard. The tenkeyless was a huge factor and gives so much more space which I love. I went with the Orange switches because I didnt want the typing to be overly loud and also did not want Linear yellow as I like at least some click. Its still quite loud in comparison to the Ornata Chroma which is a hybrid mecha-membrane. With headphones on not so bad but still. I wouldnt say the response times or anything like that have improved for gaming purposes, perhaps the linear yellow would. Overall its a solid keyboard and is aesthetically pleasing.

Im pleased with how the keyboard works. Even with those silent caps, the clicking its still a little too loud, because Im coming from a laptop-oriented keyboard.

I bought this to replace my corsair k65. After a month, I fell Inlove with this keyboard and I dont think Ill be looking to replace it any time soon. The build of this keyboard is decent. The base is a hard plastic which was ok. The wrist rest feels great althought I feel it gets in the way unless you adjust the keyboard height by adding the legs on the back. For the keycaps Ive never tried them because I replaced them with my own as soon as I got the keyboard. For gaming, this keyboard suits my preference but it could be different for you. This is somewhat of a bulky build for a TKL keyboard and is slightly bigger than the corsair k65. I have big hands so I needed the keys to be a little more spaced out or bigger because I kept mispressing 2 buttons and the blackwidow definitely made that happen a lot less. And finally the actuation switch is very fast. Im pretty sure its not the fastest but who really needs it to be faster. I could slightly rub my finger on the keycap and if the keycap gets pushed down a slight amount it will read that I pressed the key so you dont need to press the key down all the way at all for it to activate the switch. Overall I was more than satisfied.

I play many different games and its works well with most of them. But recently Ive been playing a rhythm game called Friday Night Funkin. When I go to hold down the notes, for less than a fraction of a second the keys stop registering which causes me to get a miss in the game and it almost makes it impossible for me to play. If you do not care about rhythm games, I would highly recommend this as it works well with everything else.

I got the Razor Death Adder mouse and was so impressed by the speed and accuracy that it opened up my eyes that I had a crap, cheap keyboard and it was time to upgrade. I write reports for a few hours a day and I am working to trim down the time and it takes typing up reports and navigating websites and clicking on tiny dots in web pages, etc. the regular mouse was slowing me down. The mouse was so good, hell, I better upgrade my keyboard and see how that works. I went to Best buy to try them all out and liked this one the best. I got it and yes!! It is speeding up my typing a lot. Also the software with the mouse and keyboard seemed to somehow interface well with my computer and my whole computer system now also seems a good percentage faster. Amazing! I am so pleased with these products and with a 2 year warranty they will pay for them selves soon by the time I save at the computer doing my work.. Good job Razor !! p.s. I am not using these for gaming, but went down this road to get the speed I need. I am no longer slowed down my reports. It is just my nimbleness with which to handle the keys and mouse now...

So, unlike a lot of other people on here, Im just going to say this keyboard is perfect for me so far. Yeah, if you get a defective product from ANYWHERE, you send it back and get a new one. When you buy electronics of any type you do have a risk of not receiving a flawless one, yes. Welcome to technology. Anyways, I got this keyboard with the orange switches and I love them. My last keyboard was a K65 LUX RGB which has a similar form factor and used Cherry MX Reds. These Razer Orange keys have a bump before theyre fully pressed down which gives a nice amount of feedback while typing or gaming. The sound is very.. tight and feels mostly contained within the keyboard itself. The version with orange switches is not even remotely loud compared to a lot of other switches, most of the noise is just the keys bottoming out above the faceplate (which I believe is also metal.) Very nice sound without being overbearing. Lighting? Perfect if the software works. I have a Lancehead mouse and I organized these on the virtual table on Chroma Studio to talk to each other and it works flawlessly with whatever color design or scheme you want. Doesnt feel like Ive ever missed any keys registering and the MAGNETIC wrist rest is absolutely incredible. If you have very, very big hands you may not be able to comfortably use it but I feel that goes for most keyboards. Probably shouldnt get a TKL in that case. Build feels nice, a little heavy, some plastic, some metal. Detachable cable is braided, and.. detachable. Quickly recognized and working after plugged in. I got this for $70 on sale which is an unbelievable deal and I probably should have bought more than one. I would not pay more than 100 or 120 at the most though.. at that point you might get into what COULD be slightly more premium things. Different market. If its around 100 get it. It puts letters on a screen.

I didnt expect much and it was still a bit disappointing. I knew that Razers older keyboard were kinda terrible and I owned a Razer Blackwidow X Tournament Edition back in the day so I was mainly getting this keyboard just for nostalgia purposes. Ended up spending about $80 all expenses tolled and when it got to my house, I was met with wicked key inconsistencies. I also used to own a Razer Ornata so I thought i had seen the worst of their keyboards but this thing really did take me by surprise. The keys had lost all their tactility and sound. I thought at first I was given the wrong keyboard model so I took off a key and found their signature green switches like I had ordered. I eventually found out that keys were getting their click and tactility back the more I used them, so for about an hour I went around pressing all the keys about a thousand or so times until they felt and sounded decent again, and still there are problems. Some keys are so scratchy you can literally hear their springs being crunchy and colliding with something else in the switch. Im guessing since the click jakets in these switches were made with sand like Cherry Blues, they are falling apart over time with them just not being used. Either that or I got a heavily used pre owned model, which would be a mistake since I ordered a brand new item. Currently on the fence about getting an all out refund just because I ordered this thing just for fun and never really expected any serious usability. Either way, makes me think about how seriously terrible Razer used to be when making products that you go in expecting a bad experience and you still somehow walk out upset.

----------------------------------- English ----------------------------------------- I bought the keyboard based on a lot of reviews and it is perfect to work with, being tenkeyless it is easier to grip the mouse closely, the orange + orings switches reduce noise a lot but nevertheless being a mechanical keyboard it will always do more noise than a conventional keyboard, if typed correctly, the noise can be moderated. Recommended to work, to play it also works very well but perhaps for something more precise other types of switches are better (such as Linear optical switches or cherry MX Silent red) ------------------------------------ Español ------------------------------------------ Compré el teclado en base a un monton de revisiones y es perfecto para trabajar, al ser tenkeyless es mas fácil agarrar el mouse teniendolo cerca, los switches naranjas + orings reducen mucho el ruido pero sin embargo por ser un teclado mecanico el siempre hara mas ruido que un teclado convencional, si se escribe de forma correcta el ruido se puede moderar. recomendado para trabajar, para jugar tambien funciona muy bien pero quizas para algo mas preciso es mejor otro tipo de switches (como los Linear optical switches o cherry MX Silent red)

I overpaid for the Orange switches here. The green switches were like $110, while the orange switches were more than $130. Besides the price difference: The keyboard is pretty nice for a razer keyboard. Coming from a Blue switch clone, the key feel is great and I dig the RGB solely so I can use it at night. The wristrest is comfortable and the keycaps are decent and dont have that ugly gamer font. I know alot of people hate that you have to sign up for razers Synapse program to change the lighting, but i honestly dont really care too much about it. One problem i do have with the keyboard, is that the symbols like !, @, #.... and ?, >, <... arent backlit and cant be seen in a dark environment. While im used to it as a programmer, it may tick off others. This is a nice keyboard but you can get a better keyboard from a different brand, or you can get the blackwidow lite for cheaper
