> 3 dayIts a great keyboard, but its not even close to being silent like they advertise. O-rings only help dampen noise when pressing the key down, not when it pops back up, and even then, it barely helps and is not worth the effort of putting them on. The metal plate base also makes keys create a slight ringing sound when you type on them. Its a mechanical keyboard, so youre not going to get extremely quiet keys unless you use Cherry MX Silent Red switches or something. Its small and has solid construction though and it doesnt get dirty from finger oil easily. It also has a detachable braided wire, which is great. It only has white lights, which is fine for me, and it has the ability to adjust the brightness through fn+f11 and fn+f12 without any of the unwanted Razer software. For keys that have two different symbols on them, such as [ { or 0 ), only the top symbol lets light through, so its not a great keyboard if you want to use it in a completely dark room, but I see no reason to even want to do that in the first place.

> 3 dayThe orange switches are quiet, but dont feel as good as loud keys. I guess its just a tradeoff. The keyboard is nice and minimal, RGB looks good, and the wrist pad is nice

> 3 dayIve been using this keyboard for a while now, and its definitely not bad. I have the Orange switches, which keeps the clicking sound to a minimum and feels really good when using for gaming and typing. However, this keyboard has a number of issues that are not present in cheaper keyboards from other manufacturers. First, there is no onboard memory, which is inexcusable. When a GB of flash memory can be bought for $5, theres no excuse to not include memory on this keyboard. Since theres no memory, I am unable to store a color and lighting pattern profile. Unfortunately, since theres no onboard memory, we are forced to use Synapse to apply the color settings after Synapse loads with Windows. This means that any time Synapse isnt running, the keyboard will randomly pick a color and use that until the software can sync to the keyboard. Thats just pathetic. Another issue I have is with Synapse. I also use a Razer Orb Weaver, which is the only reason I even bought this keyboard (I wanted these two components to match). But, the Orb Weaver uses a DIFFERENT VERSION of Synapse, so I have to keep 2 separate versions of Razers software running at all times. This is just terrible, and reminds me I avoided Razer products for years. Also, it should be noted that there is another huge flaw with this keyboard: the lack of color shifting for Hypershift. The Function keys (F1-F12) serve two purposes, which is toggle by holding a button on the keyboard. However, the engineers are Razer werent smart enough to realize that those alternate icons of the F keys should probably light up! One would think that when you hold the hypershift key, the alternate icons on the Function keys would illuminate so you can actually see the function youre trying to access. There are printed icons on the Function keys, but they never illuminate. This is just inexcusable for a product at this price point and it tells you a lot about Razers design philosophy. They make decent products, but their competitors put a lot more thought the functionality of the things they make. But I must admit that the keyboard does work perfectly fine and I have had no issues yet. Razer quality has always been on the lower end, so I dont have high hopes for longevity, but I will use the keyboards eventual failure to get a Logitech replacement instead. Other things to note: the Caps Lock key does illuminate white when activated. That is a nice touch that should have carried over to the dual action Function keys. The magnetic wrist rest is a nice feature that feels good and works just fine. Ill keep it until it breaks but Ill replace it with something better.

> 3 dayOverall, I enjoy the clickiness, the smaller form factor so it can fit on my desk and be transported with greater ease, and how the chassis is designed to be at a slant for a better typing experience. My previous keyboard had adjustable legs for putting the keyboard at an angle break, so this is a nice thing to see. My only nitpick would be after only a few weeks of use, the wrist rest is losing its pep. As you can see in the image because when gaming you usually dont rest your wrist anywhere but the are of the WASD keys, the cushion is flattening. Even after giving it time to reinflate, it doesnt return to a condition like the other areas of the cushion that are less used. I still wouldnt use the keyboard without it, as even though there is no cushion, it is still is nice to have something your wrists can rest on as you game or type, and the material feels nice too.

> 3 dayIve used this keyboard for 3 years. It was great until the last couple months, I started getting key repeating issues, press q and I get qqq same thing on multiple keys (m,g,=,7, etc). Internet says this is just dust in my keys, so I blew them out with canned air over and over, no luck. Razer support said theyd replace my keyboard, great! Nope, its past the 2-year warranty, so they took back their word on the replacement. Ridiculous considering how much they tout their 80 Million Keystroke Lifespan and long-lasting switches on a keyboard equipped to handle years and years of constant gaming. Dont trust their marketing, trust their 2-year warranty. Besides that, the keyboard is pretty good. I wish the fn key had RGB, so weird that it doesnt, and Razers software isnt too bad, but still not great. The worst part is the keyboard doesnt remember the light setting, so when you use it on a PC without the Razer Synapse software installed, it just color cycles. This wouldnt matter except Im using it for work now and dont want to install Razer software on my work PC. I have a cheap $40 keyboard that has a couple dozen built in lighting modes and color sets without any software. One of the best parts of this keyboard is the wrist rest, its still holding up great. Its so hard to find a rest made for TKL size keyboards. The other wrist rest I have from Redragon isnt nearly as good. Update on my key issues, I sprayeda drop of WD40 into the keys with issues and the problem went away over time. Could have been a firmware update too, not sure.

> 3 dayIts my first mechanical keyboard so i cant compare this keyboard to another mechanical keyboards, but as a affordable upgrade from a cheap membrane its a great choice. Its not perfect, but it have the satisfying clicks, its looking realy good with the white leds nd the aluminium cover under the buttons. However there is 3 downsides in my opinion, which is not really a deal breaker but a little annoying detail, when you are sitting low enough you kinda see the mechanical switch under i mean the oramge plastic) and its kinda looks weird - but again, you really have to sit on the floor in order to see that. Another downside, which is the main one - the terrible a laggi software. And the last downside is that this keyboard is a little bit higher than i expected, I got used to it so its not so terrible but you have to consider that.

Greater than one weekI will type this review exactly has it comes out of my keyboard: I bought this product because I like smaller keyboards, I also like lighted keyboards with good switches. Although the lighting iss great and the the clickynesss of the keyboard is great, there is some MAJOR problemss with keysss sticking and sstaying stuck for a loooong time. It just seems to be random and doesnt happen conssisteently from key to key. Although some keys seem to have morre problems than others, even AFTER constant cleaning of the keys and keyboard. After sseveral attempts of fixing this through upgrading Synapse (the driver sssoftwwware of Razer) and contacting support (running through their useless attempts to fix it), it continues to happen over and over again and causses major issues in competitive gaming (as well ass doing any sort of wrriting of code). You will dodge longer, or just seem to randomly do ssomething that you shouldnt. Asssss you can see with this review, the continual key stickynesss is nothing you would want in a game or to even do daily work. There doesnt seem to be a solid fix for it AND Synapse hasss been in beta now for years, so I dont expect a fix to come to the keyboard anytime soon. So my suggestion, serious gamerrs and developers should stay FAR FAR FAR away from this product and probably all Razerr keyboards. NOTE: This review was not changed other than to correct spelling errors. The repeattted keys you see are typing at a normal speed on the keyboard. So imagine how it is for gaming or writing code? Pathetic to say the least. UPDATE 04/16/2020: RRazerr reached out to me to help fiix the keyboard (afterr they reepliiied to thiis review). However, after II rreplied to them about my issue, the responded with a tiicket frrom theiiir tiiicketing system, and they neverr rresponded beyond me addiing additional information to it. As you can see, Im sttiill using the same keyboard and having the same problem (I cant geet a newerr keyboard yet to replace thiiis POS).

> 3 dayEdited to add: I am updating and reducing my rating of this keyboard. I absolutely loved it -- when it worked. I retain the complaints about the updates. And I loved the feel of the keyboard and the programmable light. Unfortunately, it just gives too much problems. After one update, it slowed down, didnt strike keys, and when I hit an O, it gave lines and lines of them. I gave up and am back to a RedDragon, which is disappointing because I cant program the keyboard lights in the same productive way. But its clacky and serves the purpose comfortably. So all in all I am terribly disappointed in this keyboard. I wish I wasnt. I love the clacky keys, and the feel is wonderful. When the personalized light pattern works, thats great and very helpful. Unfortunately, as far as I can see there is no way to stop automatic updates of this software, and every time it updates it screws up the lighting pattern. Right now it is doing the stupid and annoying phasing between colors, and I cannot even get the software to open up to change it. In a day or so it will probably unexpectedly kick in, leaving me to wonder, what the bloody hell? Only the top keys are highlighted, not the shift keys. And sometimes it turns itself on and off with no reason that I can see. Finally, the cord is bizarre and very sensitive. I ended up buying a second one because it fell off the table and the power connection broke. Despite these extremely annoying problems, the feel does it for me. Other than that, great keyboard!

> 3 dayUPDATE: Yeah, so the multiple characters from one keypress issue has crept into the picture. Specifically, the number 5 key, which depending on how hard the key is struck while typing, can slap down betweeen 1-3 5s. This is really unacceptable in a KB at this price range. And Razer, youre supposed to be better than this! The issue isnt a dealbreaker for gaming, but is a big pain in the ass when typing words, and especially passwords!!! So, I no longer casn recommend this kb. So mechanically, this kb has done well for me. Ive had none of the repeating key press issues some claim to have. The RGB lighting is awesome, one cazn set up the lighting to highlight specific keys, and you can set up different profiles for different ligfhting for different games. As for design, its kind of a mixed bag... The wrist rest is outstanding, its cushy and feels decent againsst the skin and it connects to the kb via magnets. Its super simple to just pick up and remove the wrist rest to make room on ones desk. But the choice to keep the secondaries unlit on the keys was absolutely stoopid. You cannot see the secondary keys because someone at Razer thought that everyone has them all memorized. Well, we all do not. This makes quickly finding and hitting something like, say $ or & more difficult than if they had, oh I dunno, made them light up. I get it, this is a gaming kb, but most folks also use thier gaming pc for other computing needs thus theyre typing things and thats where these keys not being lit could be an inconvenience for anyone who doesnt have them all perma-memorized. I do also like that the cord is removeable for quick removal from the desk, great for when one wants to wipe down ones desk. The ditching of the number pad saves a lot of deskspace, but some gamers will miss it, depending on the games they play. Some games are just better with a numpad. I dont find I use one in my gaming, so I went for one without, ymmv. Over all, the kb has worked well for me, and while the RGB lighting is excellent and fully configurable, the lack of lighting for secondaries sees this lose two stars for me, and had it been clearly noted by Razer, Id likely have bought a different kb.

> 3 dayReally superb all around keyboard. Price is great (I got it at $60), design is clean and not too in your face, which is welcome from Razer, build quality is solid, and quite pleased with the switches. The lettering looks really clean on the keyboard, and the backlighting is just right, not too bright or soft. Keyboard material, albeit seeming to be mostly plastic, still has a nice texture and premium feel to it. These Razer orange switches (brown equivalent) are wonderful and have made a noticeable difference for me when typing, both as a gamer and as a programmer. They are certainly an outright upgrade from the Outemu reds I had been using at my desk at home previously (I liked the smooth action but found I made a lot of mistakes with the low actuation force of the red switches), and Ill give them a slight edge in terms of personal preference for the softer switch action of the brown switch as opposed to the Cherry MX Blue switches I have in my keyboard at the office (currently not seeing much use, obviously). I am not ultra-sensitive to switch quality, I just prefer a keyboard with clean action and quality build, and after finally having given this style of switch a try I dont think I can go back. My only two *very minor* gripes are these: 1. Aesthetic from the side of the keyboard is a bit strange. The keycaps are very short in height and so the components underneath each key are visible, including the switch+switch housing. Seems like thats the aesthetic theyre going for, just not my personal taste, and its unnoticeable from above, which is where Im mostly seeing the keyboard from anyway. 2. Keyboard deck warped ever so slightly at one point so that it wasnt sitting flush with the desk. Not sure if this will resurface in the future, but I was able to unwarp it using raw man power (aka a very light bend back in the correct direction) and it has been sitting fine for over a week since I noticed the issue. These are not deal breakers in the slightest, just for others to be aware of when purchasing. Still love the keyboard, and certainly not worth subtracting a star.
