It arrived without a shipping box and the label stuck right on the product box so I was a little apprehensive, but fortunately it wasnt raining or anything, and so far so good. I believe I got a returned product though, as Ive found a couple tiiiny white hairs maybe from a cat or something. But I think thats more Amazons fault. Ive had a passing interest in mechanical keyboards for a while but I could never justify the cost. However, this past Christmas my sister got me some custom keycaps and I discovered that they would only fit on Cherry switches, so it was finally time for me to trade in my crappy $10 keyboard and get something nice! I also wanted something with lights, since Ive never had that before either, and on that front this keyboard absolutely does not disappoint. It has a bunch of modes including some responsive ones that are really cool. I assume the software would make it more customizable but one of the reasons I picked this keyboard over others was that it didnt require software as I play a lot of games and dont want any extra background processes. You can also adjust the brightness of the lights, from completely off to ahh my eyes! lol As for the keyboard itself, I went with brown switches as I knew I wanted something that felt a little more responsive than red and Im pretty happy with my choice. It does make a bit of noise, but thats to be expected with the switch type and the fact that its made of metal. Noise doesnt really bother me. Now, I am a newbie when it comes to mechanical keyboards, but from what I have been able to google up, it seems the stabilizers on this one are a little squishier than Id like. However, apparently that is also to be expected with Cherry stabilizers. I have swapped out the switches on the space bar and delete key to blue and that feels a little better. Thats another thing I really like - the fact that it comes with 6 extra switches of various colors so you can try out different ones or mix and match a little bit. Hopefully the other keys that are a bit squishy-feeling will even out as I use them or Ill get used to them. As for now, it works just fine. All in all, Id say this keyboard is perfect for someone who is new to mechanical keyboards or isnt overly picky and just wants a mechanical keyboard that works, especially since its such a good price. Youd be hard-pressed to find better for less. But if youre a mechanical keyboard enthusiast who is very particular about sound and feel, this might require a bit of modding for you to be 100% happy with it. On the flip side, if you just want something super quiet and dont care about lights or fancy things, this is probably not for you.

    Greater than one week

After having gone through a few ultra cheap mechanical keyboards I can definitively vouch for this keyboard as very much worth the step up to lower mid-rage. It is thee one to get. It hits everything I want. Obviously price is reasonable for the average person. The look is crisp, clean, and neat. I cannot stand gaudy PC peripherals so it was nice to get something so solid and clean. Even the logo is minimalist and not obnoxious. It has some decent heft to it. The base is heavy and not going to move on you. Easily the heaviest keyboard I have owned. It has backlighting that can be controlled with variety and can even be turned off completely. And it has the choice between brown and red switches. I went with brown as I like the tactile feedback but was going deaf from ultra cheap blue switches I had on previous keyboards. They are lovely. Ive had mine over a year now and it still works. But. I did lose some response accuracy in a couple switches over the year. These are cheaper switches and I guess you do get a little of what you pay for. Left CTRL was the first to go and I chalked that up to the angle of my pinky pressing it. I thought perhaps it was getting too much horizontal lateral pressure being pushed away from the keyboard to the left rather than a precision up and down strike. I replaced the switch with one of the extras. The keyboard comes with a keycap removal tool, a switch extraction tool, as well as a row of sample/extra switches. These include two blue, two brown, two red, and two black. Havent had an issue with the Left CTRL since. Unfortunately my C switch ended up with the same issue months later. Which killed the lateral contact theory. Another quick replacement and Ive been good to go. I am just all but certain another key/switch will peter out eventually. End of the day it has been a wonderful daily driver of a keyboard for over a year now. I type an above average amount daily during the week and game with it on the weekends. Ive put in some good miles on it and having to replace two switches on it doesnt sour my opinion at all. If I had paid hundreds for it, I might be upset. But I paid a reasonable price and got a more than reasonable keyboard. I would happily buy this fella again.

I needed another mechanical keyboard with back lit keycaps, standard 104 layout, smooth, positive tactile action and macro capability. My prior 2 Redragon K556 RGBs continue to work great after 4 years so I got another K556 as I have had bad experiences with several other (name brand) makes (such as the keycaps easily falling off. etc.). My 3 Redragon keyboards are sturdy, quality built with great brown switches. I have had no problems with the switches in the 4 yo ones (never needed the spares) and in any case for piece of mind the new K556 version allows wider switch replacement capability if ever needed. The variable brightness is great and the key click sound level is just right - not annoying. Initially I could not program it. I emailed them and received excellent overnight customer support that fixed a problem of my own making. (The programming software for the latest K556 version was not compatible with the software previously downloaded for the old K556s.)

I started out with this keyboard back in 2019. It has a good blend of plastic and metallic to its build, so it is sturdy without being too heavy. Keys are decent, the sound was decent as well. Overall, not a bad board. I recently started getting into the world of custom mechanical keyboard so I wanted to upgrade and mod this keyboard to make it feel and sound better. It is not recommended to disassemble this keyboard if you dont know what youre doing but other than that this keyboard was a great board to mod and upgrade. I ended up: - Adding PE Foam to the bottom inside of the plastic case. - Adding Masking Tape to the bottom of the PCB. - Adding PE Foam between the PCB and the aluminum plate (as shown in the picture) - Clipping and Lubing the stock stabilizer with Krytox 205g0 - Hotswapping the stock Outemu Brown Switches out with Akko CS Matcha Green Switches (also lubed with Krytox 205g0) - Switching out the stock keycaps with HyperX Doubleshot Pudding Keycaps After hours of modding the keyboard to its fullest potential, I managed to make this keyboard feels even better and smoother and sounds thockier than it ever has before. Couple of bad things to note: - Redragon keyboards use an Outemu PCB, so only 3-pins Outemu or Akko CS switches or something similar will fit. - The stock switches are very cheap, so pulling them out will have a high chance of breaking the switch and its housing (so process at your own risk). - Has no Bluetooth nor does it have detachable USB cable.

This thing has some weight. I had a cheap keyboard combo I bought for $50 a lil while back to replace a Razer set. This thing feels very heavy, and has a very good mechanical light feel while typing.

its a big change from cheap wireless keyboard and mouse combos that im used to, first off its THICK it stands a full inch up from the desk this isnt a problem for me as i type with my wrist raised but i can see how somebody would want to get a wrist rest for this that being sead im not complaining at all it is a great keyboard with very responsive all brown switches and individually back lit and addressable rgb which isnt a selling point for me accept for the fact that i can assign a different color hex value to every single key if i wanted to(in the software you have a selection of i think 20 colors but it is using a hex string color code so if you edit the .config file you can assign a different code to every key... ok i was a bit bummed to see a sample kit of 4 different kinds of switches and not 8 blue switches as many of the reviewers of this product had described as i was going to use the blue switches for certain keys as a feedback mechanism for me but thats ok as it is simply a sample pack and all the spare switches are usable so if one needed to they could use any of those 8 switches as a spare even after they use the 2 spair brown switches.. i personally like the blue switches for certain things and i will be purchasing a kit of a dozen mx blue to complement the ones i already have and that will give me a dozen extra brown switches to use if needed but none of that is relevant to the keyboard itself as is forget about the extra switches for a moment the keyboard its self is great and i think its even better than some much more expensive alternatives out there and dont misunderstand 105 cherry mx blue switches is going to be expensive like around $120 for just the kits of switches so thats not an option and this isnt that and i think for the average user these brown switches are as good as they need to be allowing the price to be what it is and for that i thank redragon...good job on this one... good on you amazon as well as i wouldnt have even looked as this product if it wasnt a amazon recommended product for so long i was under the impression that redragon was a generic brand that probably use membrane keys ans cheap electronics and plastic casing all that was fall this thing is heavy metal with great feeling and responsive keys and beautifly backlit i definitely recommend this to anybody who wants a good keyboard and is tired of the cheap walmart options and doesnt want to break the bank either

Highly recommend for a gaming experience. Be warned though, it’s louder than most other gaming keyboards.

The Good: 1. Love the switches. They are not as loud as my older keyboard and feel good to the touch. 2. The light from the keyboard is very good and is adjustable to 5 levels (0 to 4) 0 being off. 3. The keyboard feels built really well and the base feels very heavy and solid. 4. It doesnt take up a lot of room on the desktop like some RGB monsters. The Bad: 1. The software leaves much to be desired and you really cant customize it without it. (more later) 2. The default presets in the hardware is FIXED. You really cant change it. For example I like my default to be an always on red on all keys. You cant have that. There is a preset you can get to with the solid color on it but it only cycles through 4 colors and red wasnt one of them so youd have to go use the software to fix it. 3. The little legs on the bottom are too short. This might be a more personal preference, but for me I would want a slightly higher incline. It isnt terrible, but I noticed it right away. 4. Brightness is global, even with the software, you cant have specific keys be brighter/dimmer than others. Now a word about the software. There are 3 profiles you can set, but the import export doesnt export all settings and that is a big problem. The main reason I switched over from my older RGB was because this one has software to be able to customize the keyboard. Unfortunately I ran into basically the same issue as my old one. You can setup a profile for gaming that has specific keys colored to your liking with the coastal light profile. And under that light profile you can select FPS, MMO, MOBA, or RTS sub-presets. From there you can customize each key color to your choosing. Now here is the big problem. I made a custom FPS one for a game on Profile 2. Saved it via the export command. Now I go to the sub light presets and choose MMO for to make one for another game on Profile 2. It wipes my FPS sub-preset back to default but that should be fine since I exported my settings (youd assume that right?). So I go import my saved settings, and they arent there. The Import/Export doesnt work!! So that means instead of being able to make custom light settings for specific games, you can make at most have 3. I still dont know if the settings will persist after a cold boot since I havent rebooted my machine yet. So overall the keyboard is good given the price, the keys feel good, but it is sorely lacking in customization capabilities. If you are like me and was hoping to have the ability to save and load custom keyboard maps for specific games, this product CANNOT do that. So why is my overall rating still 4 stars? Simply because of the build quality, the switches, and the partial customization ability does make the keyboard very usable. The macro and key changing ability is still very useful for older games that dont let you map keys via software or a settings file. So I could only really take off 1 star for the inability of it to save my custom key light profiles.

Grabbed the board (brown key) cause my old one was wearing out. Was using the one that came with my computer. Uncle recommended this and it was on sale. Until today Ive never realized that pc keyboards could feel nice. If youve just been using oem keyboards that come with the pc you bought, you owe it to yourself to try this thing. It feels like trading in a rusty 99 ford focus and and upgrading to a new base model camry. Hopefully that makes sense. Never knew what I was missing out on

I really like this keyboard, I pressed it about 2 years ago and it’s worked fine until recently. About 6 month to a year ago the F key stopped registering all the time. It was find with me because I used that key a lot. About 2 months ago the left shift key and D key started doing the same thing. Now the D key has stopped working. I generally love this key board and thinking of buying another. It was definitely worth the price.
