> 24 hourMy husband had total knee replacement recently and a friend who is a physical therapist gave us hers to try. I bought 2 myself (freeze one/use one). Because they were so easy to use and helpful (decreased swelling = decreased pain) he actually iced his knee more often and for a longer period of time. The cooling system he came home with from the hospital was very inconvenient so he didnt like using it. He did use the velcro wrap they sent him home with to keep this ice pack in place. It conformed around his knee and could use one on the bottom and one of the top if he felt he needed additional cooling. It conformed nicely around his knee but I can see where it would do the same around other parts of the body should it be needed. Two friends also had knee replacement surgery and ordered the packs because we liked them so well. Havent used them for heat application so cant speak to that.

> 24 hourIt is a good ice pack, stays cold a long time. You really have to knead it to get flexibility, and even so it only folds well at the two seams. Also the outside frosts up pretty bad. I am happy with the purchase for the price.

> 24 hourReally great icepack. Flat but stays very cold. Wraps around leg if needed or flat against the stomach or back. Very pleased with this company.

> 24 hourThis is the coldest, most flexible & nicely sized ice pack Ive ever used! Covers a large area & you need to put a towel around it (I use a large dish towel) so it doesnt freeze to you! A great buy!

> 24 hourThese ice packs are fabulous! Thick outer shell and nice and full with gel. I bought another kind and they were pitifully thin....but not these! I will be having back surgery and the size is perfect to cover the whole area. These also stay cold for a very long time. These are made well with a thick outer covering. Great product!!!!!

> 24 hourI have sciatic and nerve issues on the left side of my body that also affects my lower back. I bought the two pack and I am able to use one to ice my back, upper thigh, as well as the side of my hip where there is inflammation. I use a second one on my lower back and sciatic nerve area. Because of the size I am able to hit all the key areas at once and with the folds, it can wrap around needed areas. They are durable, so I do not have to worry about it breaking. Just a great source of relief in the mornings and then evenings after work. It has helped decrease pain, so that I can go back to working on correcting some of the issues and not be hampered with exercise stopping pain. Of course it is not a cure all, but it is a helpful tool. Great quality.

> 24 hourI have been able to heat and cool these with out a problem... I lay them both flat when I do. but just like all frozen things... be careful molding it or moving etc... because things are fragile when cold. but so far so good.

> 24 hourIts not going to do more for pain relief than any other source of cold will (if I need assistance with pain, thats what pain pills of various kinds are for), but sometimes you just need to ice your muscles or tendons down and this works well for that. During spring my achilles tendons were giving me issues, so I threw this thing in the freezer and then after it froze I pulled it out, laid down with a thin sheet over the affected area and laid the ice pack over both of my legs and let the cold do its thing. That helped me with getting my tendon inflammation down so that I could carefully stretch my legs and work them back into no longer having inflamed tendons. Along the way this product did what I needed it to, what it was supposed to, and is a very good ice pack. I wouldnt use it for raw meat at a barbeque for example, but thats what cheap plastic ice packs are for. Wash those in some cleaning product, or rinse them with rubbing alcohol or whatever and theyre back to sanitized. These things are made of durable fabric and have a gel that freezes to a near-solid state, so even while theyre fully frozen they still kind of malleable. If I recall right it also has heating instructions on it, but I havent used it as a heating pad so I cant really say anything other than: I expect it to work for such with a similar level of excellence. Follow the instructions it comes with, and are printed on it, and it will serve you well for its intended uses.
