> 3 dayIve bought several of these in different sizes and they are the best ice packs Ive ever used or found. They are perfect in size and the ice gel stays cold for a very long time. All I wrap them in is a clean pillow case, and Ive found them to still be moderately cold even after 30 minutes. Im very pleased with these items.

Greater than one weekI think this may actually get colder than ice. Comparing the two, ice and this pack, this seems to actually feel colder! I dont think the coldness last as long, but that seems to be pretty typical of these gel pack types. Size is good, if you have a large area to cover ( like your whole back for example) or are a large person, this may could seem smaller than needed, but overall a great pack and would certainly recommend it!

> 3 dayIts not going to do more for pain relief than any other source of cold will (if I need assistance with pain, thats what pain pills of various kinds are for), but sometimes you just need to ice your muscles or tendons down and this works well for that. During spring my achilles tendons were giving me issues, so I threw this thing in the freezer and then after it froze I pulled it out, laid down with a thin sheet over the affected area and laid the ice pack over both of my legs and let the cold do its thing. That helped me with getting my tendon inflammation down so that I could carefully stretch my legs and work them back into no longer having inflamed tendons. Along the way this product did what I needed it to, what it was supposed to, and is a very good ice pack. I wouldnt use it for raw meat at a barbeque for example, but thats what cheap plastic ice packs are for. Wash those in some cleaning product, or rinse them with rubbing alcohol or whatever and theyre back to sanitized. These things are made of durable fabric and have a gel that freezes to a near-solid state, so even while theyre fully frozen they still kind of malleable. If I recall right it also has heating instructions on it, but I havent used it as a heating pad so I cant really say anything other than: I expect it to work for such with a similar level of excellence. Follow the instructions it comes with, and are printed on it, and it will serve you well for its intended uses.
