Rio Grande Games Dominion Prosperity

I have been very disappointed with most of the Dominion series, but this adds a lot of depth to the game. All the new treasure cards act as partial action cards, combining both the money and action strategies into one. I would say that with this expansion in use, it greatly changes the strategy to win. By using a 50/50 card mix with Dominion (or Dominion Intrigue), you can make the game much, much more enjoyable in my opinion.

The game was all there and the quality of the contents was great, except for one glaring problem: the backs of the cards were significantly lighter than the backs of the previously released cards. When comparing them side-by-side, I can pick out the Prosperity expansion card every time. It is so obvious that it has affected the gameplay. I can tell whether the card I am about to draw is from the new expansion, I can tell which cards my opponents are holding are from the new expansion, and it significantly changes some cards like Wishing Well or Vassal. After reaching out to Rio Grande Games, they informed me this is a manufacturing defect that is affecting all current printings of the Prosperity set, meaning they didnt even have a replacement that wasnt also defective to send me. I am returning this set and will attempt to find an older printing. I suggest you steer clear of this one, since the cards wont work with your other Dominion cards.

Super fun expansion to Dominion. It adds a fun dimension to the game like new money. Probably the best Dominion expansion.

Great add on for Dominion. Was my favorite add on until I bought Managerie. Adds to games even if all you use are the Colonies (10 VP) and the Platinums (5 coins).

The game is great and adds a lot to the game and I love it. This review of 4 stars instead of 5 is based off the damaged box. I wish it hadnt arrived damaged.

Super fun expansion. High quality pieces and such... only complaint is there are some tiles that there aren’t room for in the box without moving some cards out of their designated place, but not a huge deal when the game is great!

Really fun expansion, highly recommend for players who are new at dominion. This adds more treasure into the game which speeds the game up and gives the big money strategy a boost.

Being able to add different Kingdom Cards to our Intrigue set makes the game more interesting and keeps the kids coming back, wanting to play it often since it can always be a little different each time.

Great expansion for Dominion and I recommend it to anyone interested in the series. Its worth the price, especially if you get a discount from Amazon.
